right well this chapters a bit late. was falling asleep and realised i hadn't posted it yesterday so here yous go.
also crazy amount of views,, tysm ladsDawna asked to see her parents last and together.
She spoke to Sirius and let him know she was planning to go back to Grimmauld Place with him and Remus.
She spoke to Jane about everything and anything. She learnt that Jane had three kids and a wife. Jane learnt that Dawna was still the same person she'd lost all them years ago.
She spoke to Harry about his father and then gave him all of her thanks for agreeing to he apart of it all, to take his father's place. Harry said that she was more then welcome and would be glad if he could see her in the summer.
She spoke to McGonnogal and Dumbledore at once, thanked them for their efforts in trying to find her when she'd initially dissappeared. McGonnogal cried though both Dumbledore and Dawna swore they'd never tell anyone. But that meant Dawna would tell Remus about it later.
She had Fester come in and he asked her about how she was feeling and how the whole process was when she changed back after so long. She thanked him for his trouble of travelling all the way from Europe to help her. She cried.
She wanted to put off the conversation with her parents as long as possible. She knew they'd be devastated with her decision and would argue it with all their beings. It wasn't that her parents were bad people or bad parents from what she remembered.
Its just that they could be very very possessive and she knew that hadn't changed over the years. In the way her mum held her, on in the way the small touchea from her father when he'd send her off to talk to someone else. Like when he said for her mother to let her go to talk to Sirius. To see Sirius.
And that was why she couldn't go home with them.
If she went with them, the chances she'd ever see Remus, Sirius or the others ever again was very slim. She knew how they worked. They'd set up a meeting and cancel last minute saying that something came up, or they'd use the excuse that Dawna wasn't doing to well or that their floo fireplace was broken and they were both too old to apparate and they had anti-apparation wards on so much land around the house that it'd take too long for any other mode of transport.
So they were possessive yes but they were great with everything else. Or so she rembered anyway. She still loved them.
"Oh my little baby." Her mum gushed as she scooped Dawna into her arms once again. Her father stood beside them, anxiously picking at the stubble on his chin.
They were both grey haired and weary looking.
"My little girl. We finally got you back."
She wasn't a little girl anymore though.
Dawna pulled from the hug and her mother seemed a little hurt but recovered from the hug.
"Mum, im not a little girl anymore. Im in my thirties."
"But you were so young whem you-"
"That was over sixteen years ago." Dawna snapped and her father gave her a stern look."Your mother is just happy to see you Dawn. Don't use that tone on her." Her father warned and Dawna nodded solemnly.
"Yeah you're right. I'm sorry. Its just everythings so much today.""We get it sweetheart." Her mum cooed and she pet her head like she would a child. Dawna loved her parents but she felt so belittled to be pet and she spent most of her life as a cat. But she took it.
"There's actually something I wanted to speak to you both about." Dawnas voice was timid.
"Of course sweet pea. Anything." Even the names were degrading and demeaning.
