"Hey, Red, wake up."
"Sirius leave her alone." Remus grumbled as he pushed the duvet off of himself and slowly slid out from underneath a deep in sleep Red, he looked down at her and smiled gently.

Dawna had her own room here, but Remus found that it was easier to just let her stay in here as from the first night she'd slip into Remus' bed and he wouldn't realise until he woke up the next morning. He wasn't sure why she done it, mostly comfort he had to guess and it made his worry about how she coped when she was with her parents.

He placed the duvet back over her and looked up at Sirius who was watching him with a childish grin.
"What?" He asked as he pulled on a tshirt, shivering against the coming autumn.
"You seriously don't see it?" Sirius asked as he followed Remus out of the room, an arm over the taller mans shoulder. Remus shook his head,
"No." He said as he started up the coffee machine.

In the time where Remus was alone for so many years he accustomed to the muggle ways to separate him from the life he had hated. The life that had made him lose everyone.

"Moony, for someone so smart you're so blind." Sirius grinned as he pushed himself up onto the counter beside the coffee machine, "Maybe we should get you glasses."
"I don't think I need them." Remus stared down at his hands, tracing the scars with his eyes. It became a habit very quick from very young.
"You must because you can't even see there is clearly something going on between you and our little redhead."

Remus looked up at him with a surprised expression,
"Pardon?"
"Come on Moony, you're both so..so very- I don't know- very clearly into eachother! " Sirius exclaimed and Remus hushed him, glancing back towardz the door which led to Remus' room. He listened out for Red but heard nothing so he turned back to Sirius.
"Me and Red are just- we're just friends Sirius. I don't- well- she doesn't like me...like that."
"But you like her?"
"I never said that." Remus took the coffee pot and Sirius passed him an empty mug, "I don't like- even if I did like her," he cleared his throat, "romantically, I feel like it would be weird, wrong even. She was a cat for most of the time I knew her."
"But its not like you liked her when she was a cat, did you?"

Remus gave him a crazed look,
"God no Sirius, that's wrong. Not when she was a cat." Then Remus cursed under his breath, having fallen from tge trap, "I hate you." Remus grumbled and he sipped at the coffee.
"Oh you love me."
"If that's what you believe."

"Morning!" A cheery voice sung from behind him and Remus turned around in time to catch Dawna in his arms as she flopped down into them. The coffee sloshed and some hit the floor.
"Morning Red." Sirius answered with a cheeky tone to his voice and Remus glared up at him.

Since the clear pass of the test Red had been absolutely elated and floaty in everything she done. She was happy and that made Remus happy.

"Remus Lupin." Red spoke and Remus looked down towards her and his lips automatically tipped up. She had the tellings that she was in her 30s, light wrinkles and deep smile lines, and there was a clear pass in the test to show that her brain had developed properly and that she was all mentally there but she still had that teenage gleam to her.
"Red." Remus responded, still holding her up.
"Good morning."
"Morning." He replied and satisfied with the response she stood up straight and pecked his cheek before turning around,
"Need to pee, be right back." And she strode off, slightly jumping.

There was a couple seconds before Remus' arm was attacked by Sirius' hands and a disbeliefing laugh.
"Bro she kissed you." His voice was hushed and Remus looked up at him,
"On the cheek."
"Still done it either way." Sirius grinned and Remus rolled his eyes,
"Maybe we need to submit you for a brain scan."
"Hey!" Remus ducked and Sirius' hand swiped where his head had been and Remus pushed off the counter as he sipped the coffee.

"Be right back." He saluted and placed the mug on the dining table as he walked back into his room.

The moment he shut the door Remus felt his cheeks colour and he put his hands to them, the coldness of them helping to cool his face down. He pushed off the door, and walked towards the ensuite and splashed water in his face.

Even if he did like Red, he couldn't make any moves on her. He didn't want to risk anything, he didn't want to lose her whether that be because it made things awkward or she really thought he was trying to take advantage of her.

He hadn't ever connected with someone quite like he had with Red.

They fit so well.

"Hey Remus?" Red popped her head into the ensuite and Remus looked at her through the mirror and smiled,
"Hm?"
"Sirius has gone into town for job searching, made himself look like Dorian Gray. Blonde hair and blue eyes. The whole lot." She told him and Remus looked down at the sink with a small laugh as he shut the tap off, "So was just thinking, read to me?"
He looked back up at her and just stared in silence for a second until she looked away bashfully and Remus turned around,
"Yeah sure. Go choose a book and I'll be through in a minute." He told her and Red grinned wildly before she spun on her heel.

Remus watched her ggo before he walked into his room and grabbed a zip hoodie and slipped it over his shoulders and grabbed a blanket.

Red aas at the bookshelf in the livingroom when Remus sat down on the couch and he watched her as she pulled a hefty fairytale book off the shelf and sat herself down beside Remus and handed him the book.

"Why don't you read to me?" Remus suggested and Red gave him a wary look and he smiled encouragingly, "Go on." Remus opened the book and placed it between them.

Red looked down at the book and toom a deep breath.

"Once there was a prince who wanted to marry a princess," Remus looked st her as she spoke and he rested his hesd against hers and saw her lips curve,  "only a real one would do."

She paused with a frown but continued seconds later,

"So the young Prince Fastidious travelled the world.."

Remus believed he'd travel the world to find Red.

But then again, anyone would believe that.
