Nothing happened.

Remus stared at the ginger cat who turned to him out of instinct.

"Has anything happened?" Jane asked and Remus cleared his throat.
"No, nothing. She's just as she was before." Remus told the blind lady and he went to take a step out of his box.

"No! No don't move!" He screamed andd Remus stayed put, everyone stared at Fester who looked manic with the grin on his face. "Don't move."

"Fester-" Harry was cut short by a scream from the cat and now everyone was looking at her. Remus was terrified, he didn't think he'd been this terrified since he was 21.

The cat was seemingly convulsing and he wanted to help her, he really did, but he didn't move. He stayed put like Fester insisted.

The awkward snaps of movement from the cat carried on for a few moments before she stilled.

Everyone, bar Jane of course, watched on as the cat did nothing for a few moments.
"Red?" Pomfrey was the first one to speak.

Red suddenly had her hackles raised and was hissing in place. Like a cat. She looked feral, like an actual real cat. Not like Red.

"No. No I don't understand." Fester whispered, confused, "it should have worked."

"What's happening?" Jane pressed out and Harry explained to her.

"You've- You've- she's gone!" Remus cried out and the cat looked at him with an evil eye and then froze.

The cat screamed again. It sounded earpiercing this time and everyone covered their ears and flinched away from the cat. Then there was another light. And then a pop and another, and another.

Then there was no cat.

Remus blinked his eyes wildly against the newfound darkness of the room.

There was no cat. No cat. No cat. No cat.

Remus gasped as his eyes stung with tears for the bajillionth time that day.

"Oh my god." Harry gasped, his hands covered his mouth and he had to look away.
"What- what is it?" Jane asked, obviously in a bit of a frenzy.

"She's human." Poppy answered.

And she was. In the middle of the definitely seancey looking contraption was a girl. A woman. On her knees, hunched over herself. With longer then necessary red hair, slightly dirt covered and, in that moment Remus realised, very naked skin

"Can- Can I move?" Remus didn't take his eyes off of Red although he felt he should have. From where he was stood she was mostly covered, the tangle of her hair hid most of it and with how she was hunched over helped with that.

"Yes! yes!" Fester cheered and Remus was out of his jacket and jumper in very quick movements. Poppy was there with him. He covered her shoulders with the jacket, it was a long coat kind of design and held the jumper in his hands.

"Red? Red can you hear me?" Remus asked, the urgency in his voice was obvious but he still spoke in a soft tone. The woman didn't move for a few moments but then she did. Her head moved so so slowly but it moved. And then her eyes met Remus' and his heart stopped. Or it must have. Her eyes were the exact same. Green and round and amazing.

"Red." He breathed out with a smile. He was seeing his Red for the first time again, his amazing Red.
"Remus.." Her voice was so soft Remus almost didn't hear it, but he did and he felt winded. This was all so surreal. It felt so fake, like a dream. But he'd pinched himself and it was real. He was still here and Red was still human. "Oh my Merlin Remus." Her voice was louder and she fell into Remus' arms with a brazen sob snd he wrapped his arms around her tightly and he had to gasp in a breath to stop himself from crying.
