Chapter eighteen

Dante

I was so happy it took me a minute to realize someone was trying to link me.

"Dude....D my man can you hear me? Hello earth to Dante.... are you still on your date?...And if you are I'm SUPER SORRY.. but... can you listen for a sec?" Dai asked.

"It just ended sadly, what's going on?" I said focusing on his tone.

"We got some important paperwork from the new werewolf high school you need to go over. Looks like they are going to be bussing in peeps from all neighboring packs like we thought." Dai says like this is new news. That was the whole point of making the new high school to begin with, to promote stronger ties between packs. Not that it's really necessary for it now.

"Hey don't forget high school can be hell!" He says and I smirk.

"Sonja had you watching mean girls again?" I ask amused.

"No...it was The Hot Chick followed by The New Guy, dude if high school is really like that I say we home school." He says making me laugh.

"Even if that means you may not meet your mate?" I ask knowing it will change his mind.

"Ugh, dont use logic on me!" He whines making me laugh some more.
"Besides who's to say I will find my mate?" He grumbles.

"Dude what's with all this negativity? I'm gonna have to ban you from watching those movies," I'm only half serious but he's already arguing back.

"Like hell you will! Those are good movies dude.. they are funny and the girls are hot, I can watch them if I want to!" He continues on his tirade but I'm not listening anymore.

"Dude I was kidding chill out! Ok back to business did you leave the papers at my house or my office?" I ask going into Alpha mode.

"They are on your desk in your office at the packhouse, ok Sonja is starting the next movie I got to go," Dai says and cuts the link before I can ask what the movie is.

Letting it go I go to my office to look over the paperwork waiting for me. There is a shit ton of paperwork on my desk waiting for me. What the hell? I thought they said that they would handle this crap.

"Oh hey man, we did most of the work already but those are the ones that need your final approval." Kai says coming in with two coffees. "Here, Dai said you were on your way over," I must have had a look on my face.

"Thanks, well I better get to it if I want to get home tonight," dragging my feet a little, I head over to my desk with my coffee I get to work.

Dani

"So how was your day?" Gramms asks as soon as I enter the kitchen.

Immediately I get what is probably the sappiest smile on my face. "It was great, I didn't want it to end honestly. I really like him Gramms," I say blushing and she smiles back at me.

"Ok go wash up and I'll make us dinner then you can tell me about it, if you want," she says winking at me making me laugh.

"Ok I'll go take a shower," I say heading to my room to get clothes and my towels.

By the time I come out dinner is ready and I'm starving. I smelt her famous meatloaf from my room.

"Omg that smells amazing!" I say starting to salivate.

"Here you go," Gramms starts serving us food from the dishes on the table. "So are you going to dish or leave me wondering?" She gives me a pointed look.

Taking a drink of my tea I buy myself some time, which drives her nuts by the looks of it. "He took me to his favorite place it was beautiful, there was a pond that we swam in. But mostly we just talked get to know one another. It was really nice, we let our wolves out for a bit too. They played and napped in the sunshine. By most other girls standards it was probably a lack luster date but to me.... it was everything that I could hope for." I say finally looking at her.

Gramms has a soft smile on her face, I think she approves of how things went.

"I'm happy for you baby girl, you deserve some sweetness.." she brakes off from saying after everything that we lost. But instead of going there I smile and nod.

The rest of dinner is spent talking about back to school things. What things I need to buy, what clothes do I want to wear, whether or not they have uniforms. Apparently there was a discussion on it being a possibility. I seriously hope that it isn't but it may be one since teens from all packs are invited to go.

Is invited the right term? I don't know, I don't want to say its mandatory but its HIGHLY encouraged. They did just build the huge ass thing, it would be sad if no one went. Supposedly they have the newest computers and I heard a rumor.... they have not only the regular sports clubs but a gamer club too. They are also rumored to have the newest VR gear that includes this multi directional treadmill thing that keeps you from running into crap. As funny as those videos of people tripping into stuff are I wouldn't want to be running into stuff.

I also heard they have an anime club. I'm so excited to try for these clubs. Yes I like sports stuff too but come on how often do clubs like this show up?

Although if it's not true that's gonna be a bummer. I also heard they have a huge library and I'm looking forward to checking it out as well. School starts in a week and a half I think. Goddess I hope things go well and I can make new friends. I also hope to see some of my old friends from my old pack... I wonder how everyone is doing back there.
