Alex's POV:

I was having a smoke while writing this letter. Couldn't help but to respond to her, of course.

To my dearest friend, Avery,

Thank you for asking me of how did the first leg of the tour go. I can tell you it was super fun and we enjoyed it! And guess what, the crowd sang along to our songs as they loved listening to them all the time! Tour's going well, as of now we're in Oakland for another round!

Also, care to share if how did your classes go? Was it stressful? Was it also filled with tears and joys during the remaining days? I'm interested to know about ya and your college journey as I never got the opportunity to enter it as I already started my career of being a musician.

By the way, since it's summer break, love, don't stress yourself too much. I knew from the very start you're already smart in everything, I mean it. It's very impossible for someone like me to enter such a prestigious university just like the UCLA. God, I wish I just took an English degree there, maybe we could be schoolmates and hang out everyday. If something ever happens, don't hesitate to give me a call!

We knew each other for such a period of time. I never got to ask you when's your birthday, how young are you, and where you from. You told me before you had a call with your family, but they're not living in Los Angeles, right? Maybe I'll get the chance of knowing you more.

Let me tell you another one, Jamie's been thinking about Bridgette, and he wants to meet her already. He says hi to you for her and he has been an annoying pig since, sorry about him though.

For the past few weeks since the tour started, I've been thinking about having you even though for a short period of time bonding with us would work out. But still, wrong timing haha.

You're right. Everything gives us shit, not just our lives. And, if you feel depressed all the time, just talk to me and I'll be there for you as always. It's so matured of you that you got away from the toxic environment and mindset, really proud of you!!! And thanks for the good wishes you gave for the boys and I.

I hope you'll enjoy your summer break, Ave! Talk to you soon, love, take care!!!

Avery's POV:

I smiled again when the moment I read his response, while eating, I grabbed a piece of paper and pen from my bag.

Hi there, Alex!!!

Aww that's so sweet of you. Oakland is really a place where you can rock your music in front of the crowd!! Been there during My Chemical Romance's tour way back in '07! I'm happy to hear everything's going well with your tour.

About my classes - the last few weeks have been exhausting. We had our final thesis defense, but my groupmates had to study and present the said topic about Peer Pressure, Social Media and its impact on today's generation. Since I only did it and they never helped even a single coin could do, all they did was to give me such lame excuses like going out to pubs or expensive parties shit. And yes, it was stressful, but we had our club day, and I could tell you it was the best experience ever! Although I'm not yet excited for my sophomore college year, my mind is still stuck in my high school days. There were tears and laughter seen throughout during the last day of classes (even though we'll see each other again in the upcoming school year, but some of them made their decision to transfer to another university such as the New York University and Harvard University), but at least I got to enjoy my first year of college, right?

Wow, an English degree?! Alex, you're literally a poet, and the way you speak your words throughout your songs are the real symbolization of a poetry! Especially the way you come up with the words you write in your letters is a modern version of William Shakespeare. I feel you, sometimes, our dreams may be frustrated because of our opportunity to rely more on our passion than to our supposed to be careers. To answer your opinion about UCLA, the acceptance rate is low, I don't know why I still got here though.

How young am I? Well Alex, I'm turning 22 this 17th of October! Born in 1989, the youngest in 5 siblings and I'm the only girl haha. I'm from Arlington, Texas and I remembered I told you that my family doesn't live here in LA. I was 17 when I moved here in Los Angeles to pursue my studies, I applied a scholarship in UCLA, and luckily, I got in. God, I missed Arlington so much, I didn't even book some tickets for my flight home yet, didn't have the time to pack up my things as they were a bit of heavy. Maybe in the next few weeks, I'll make it home!

Also, I'll do the reverse card thing, how young are you, and where are you from? Your accent is different - I'm sorry if I say this, but it's really deep. Some people with British accents - I can understand them immediately. Maybe it depends on the place they live? God I have skill issues.

Jamie's literally asking for Bridgette, huh? Sure, I'll tell her that he sent her a hi while being far away from here. You don't have to be sorry because Bridgette acts like a kid sometimes too. You guys didn't bother me even once.

Being a toxic person didn't help me, Alex. When I realized that, I quickly stepped away from that mindset and didn't have the moment to think about that again.

Thank you so much, Alex, for the sweet lucks! I also hope that you'll enjoy the rest of the tour around America, and of course, the world. I'll remind you if when I'm going back to Arlington. Before I end this message, I'll really enjoy the whole summer vacation just like what you said. Thank you again!!

-Avery :)))
