Avery's POV: July 2012

Throughout ending the sophomore year, I was finally happy to enter my second to the last year this upcoming October again. My friends and I spent the whole vacation celebrating their respective birthdays on Perry's restaurant, and on the beach for the others.

I finally brought my family here in Los Angeles. I didn't hesitate to tour them around especially in the Hollywood Walk of Fame. They were also happy as I let them stay instead in my place rather than booking a hotel suite.

Alex and I have been talking for ages. He'd always congratulate me - when the moment last summer - my team won the volleyball championship, and me winning the poem writing competition. A lot of things has happened between the Spring and Summer season.

My family and I were in Disneyland, Hailey and Christopher were already expecting their first child, as she was already 6 months pregnant. I couldn't wait to be an aunt once again, I wanna be a mom already, carrying a baby on my arms.

I was wearing the merch that Alex gave me last Christmas paired with a pair of denim shorts, and white sneakers. I also wore a Minnie Mouse headband around my head as Patrick took my photos. We ended up asking a stranger to take photos of us as a whole family, and she was nice, to be honest.

Until,

Patrick finally proposed to Debbie in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle. She was happy as she finally found someone who'll love her til death, my brother.

Mom whispered to my ear, "soon, it'll be your turn, Ave"

I then laughed and shook my head, "not gonna happen, mom"

I made my way to hug Debbie and Patrick. I was happy seeing my brother being happy for his soon to be wife. The people were cheering and applauding at the same time as they watched the newly engaged couple.

It's gonna be my turn, soon. Soon.

I was so, so, so proud of Patrick of what he has achieved in life. Not only him but same goes to my brothers as well. They have achieved everything in their lives and I was here and there to support their ups and downs as always. I wish Pat and Deb a brighter ahead for their future together. Papa was on slight tears as he hugged Patrick and his soon to be bride. People were watching like we were the stars from Hollywood.

Then after that, we continued roaming around Disneyland. We rode on some rides especially the Mad Tea Party, it's a small world, The Jungle Cruise, and so on. It was a fun experience especially for Chloe and Daphne, they were happy as the laughter on their faces would never stop. We also took pictures with the mascots especially Minnie and Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Donald and Daisy Duck, and a lot of them, actually as I couldn't mention them. Taking my family for the first time in Disneyland was a fun experience. They were lucky enough to have a daughter who's studying in California for her to achieve the dreams she's been wanting.

Eventually after my family toured around California, we celebrated Dad's 57th birthday in the café I work. He was greeted by my colleagues, especially Lando. Lando was happy when he met my family in person for the first time. My family and him even shook hands and got to introduce themselves. I gave dad the most precious thing he deserves in the world, a Quartz Watch. We eventually formed a family hug after the dinner and went home afterwards.

While everyone was fast asleep on every rooms (Ben, Sarah, Chloe, and Daphne slept on the living room), while me just being still up in 1 in the morning, I was still up chatting with my friends on our group chat, eventually planning a sleepover in Perry's place next week...

"C'mon dude, we gotta sing this fucking karaoke stuff and shit, we don't care about our stupid voices get heard by our annoying neighbors themselves", Mick added.
