Avery's POV: Late September 2011

Sophomore year of college was doing well. I hope this will be the same until next year. Malorie and I became close from class, and she's cool to have her as a new friend. But she's gotten another squad, and I still couldn't abandon the ones that formed my school life until now in college.

It was the 21st day of September. It was our free time, all day. Inside the classroom, we only played games and even watched The Dark Knight film. We ordered boxes of pizzas and donuts after the movie marathon.

Throughout the free time, I invited my whole squad to join the mini class party, and September by Earth, Wind, and Fire started playing from my Bluetooth speaker;

"Do you remember
The 21st night of September?
Love was changin' the minds of pretenders
While chasin' the clouds away", I filmed a video using my phone while the whole class and my squad was dancing and singing along to the song, I was having a bite with one of my favorite Pepperoni pizza.

"Our hearts were ringin'
In the key that our souls were singin'
As we danced in the night, remember
How the stars stole the night away, oh yeah", the volume of the speaker was loud..

And then all of us danced as recording from my phone was still ongoing,
"hey, hey, hey
Ba-dee-ya, say, do you remember?
Ba-dee-ya, dancin' in September
Ba-dee-ya, never was a cloudy day", we jumped along at this part, as I danced with Abigail and Bridgette.

"I love this song so much", Bridgette danced out of excitement .

"We all are!", Abigail corrected Bridgette while still dancing, this time,  Bridgette danced with Mick, Lance, Alex, and Oscar and until the song finished. It was a fun day, really. Even some students from the other majors even joined us.

By the way, I already returned the book I borrowed, it's kind of breaking my heart that I didn't finish the end as I only reached the middle part of the book. What if Kate Sharma and Anthony Bridgerton ended up in a love note? I was really overthinking while reading the book especially when they first met, and Anthony was forced to marry Kate's sister, Edwina..

When the classes ended, my friends and I made it first to Hollywood Boulevard before going to our homes. We took photos (as a whole squad and individual) while stopping by at these known areas: The Hollywood Walk of Fame, The Hollywood Sign, The Dolby Theatre, and made it inside the TCL Chinese Theatre as we bought tickets. This day was fun as I got to bond with my friends.

The outing lasted for long. I got home around 5 in the evening as we watched another superhero film, Captain America: The First Avenger. The film was still on showing, that's why we got the opportunity to watch it as the film made it to big screens since July.

I made myself a Chicken Curry for dinner. While the dish was on cooking, I checked my social media platforms especially Facebook, and my brothers and now sister in-laws finally posted their wedding photos. I fell in love with their double weddings, and how I wished if I ever attended. Nicole and Hailey were the most beautiful brides that I've ever seen. I'm happy to call them as my sisters too.

Someday, I will be the bride that Hailey and Nicole ever dreamed of.

Through scrolling to the photos, Chloe and Daphne were too cute being the florists, mom and dad were truly happy seeing their two sons finally got married on the same day. A family picture of them was complete and Nicole added to her caption, "Insert Avery Summers in these photos. Hopefully you can make it soon, girl. Hope you're doing fine there in LA!" The venue was the same church where my parents got married in 1977. I commented a huge congratulations on Nicole, Hailey, and Freddie's photos.
