A/N: thank you so much for the 1k reads. here's a new chapter for ya!

The past months, almost all of us celebrated Valentines Day, the most romantic day of the year. Except for me. I wasn't jealous either of my friends celebrating the day with their beloved ones, even though most of them are male. Instead, I wished all of them the greatest luck in their circles of love.

On the other hand, oh my God. Abigail was recently heartbroken as she told us her crush Shaquille already had a girlfriend. I feel her so much. She confessed her feelings towards him during Valentine's Day and the day after, that was the time he told her he already had a girlfriend which turned to be his classmate named Lauren. Abigail even made poems for him, and let me tell you, the way she wrote the poem and even a message on the back was purely innocent as she asked me out to print the poems she made.

Alex told me again, the band would be headlining of California's famous festivals, Coachella, this April. Exactly this month. I even invited my friends and their loved ones to come along if they aren't tired with their work, they told me they still had to think about it, since yeah, we're busy again with our school projects. I've never been to Coachella even once in my life but thanks to Alex for inviting me. I told him I could afford buying the tickets in which Adrianna and Camille would be coming along with me, also Bridgette and Abigail. He even told me he enjoyed the Australian and New Zealand tour as he misses the fans there so much.

Now it was already 3:49 in the morning and I was still sat on the table, facing the laptop. These past few weeks have been exhausting, really exhausting. I almost let out the tears of stress from my eyes but I couldn't because of handling them too much.

I checked our group chat, it was completely silent, so I went back on doing my tons of assignments in college. I exhaled and sighed by telling myself, I can still do this. I grabbed the towel in front of the table so that I can sniff the excesses out of my nose.

In the middle of doing the assignment, there was a phone call and I didn't hesitate of who it was, Alex, of course.

"Hello?", he said as I picked up the line.

"Hi"

"How you doing there, love?", Alex asked with a soft tone.

"Just doin' fine, really", I lied.

I wasn't . I was tired. I wanted to rant the stuffs I've been dealing with in college to Alex but I couldn't . I couldn't even muster my own self-confidence when talking to him about my school life.

"Then that's great, Ave. Shit, I can't wait to see you by next week", he chuckled and I just smiled.

"Me too", while realizing it was already 4 in the morning, tears fell from my eyes. I didn't talk to him for a while.

A moment of silence after, Alex spoke out, "You there, love?"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm here", my voice cracked in the middle of the call, I prayed that he wouldn't hear it because it'd be too awkward for him encountering me in this kind of situation.

His voice was concerned as he spoke out again, "Are you crying, Ave?"

"No, no. Like what I said, I'm fine. No need to ask that"

"Come on, it seems you are. I can already picture your emotions right now. Is it because of college stress? I can help you out with that", he was making sure I was doing fine.

"Alex, please, I'm fine. This is just simple, alright?" I sniffed my nose in my towel again and eventually wiped the tears from my eyes with my spare towel.

"I know you're not just dealing with sommat simple there, Ave. Just tell me what's wrong and I'm willing to help you", Alex said with a caring voice. "I feel you, Ave. Cheer up"
