COLBY'S POV:
The girls disappeared to the bathroom, and Corey and Sam instantly turned to me.
"Dude, don't let him psych you out," Corey started but I scoffed and rolled my eyes.
"Are you kidding me?" I asked, my voice raised slightly. I hate this guy! I've known Danni for a few hours and someone is already hitting on her, I don't stand a chance.
"She might not even like him," Sam tried but I scoffed.
"She was smiling the whole time," I argued but Sam laughed. It annoyed me that he laughed at me.
"Dude, she's British. She would smile if someone stood in her way," Sam justified but I sighed as I slumped in my chair. "She shot him down, she told him to take everyone's order," Sam explained but I chuckled.
"She's British!" I snapped slightly but took a deep breath. "She could tell him to jump off a bridge in that sexy accent and he'd laugh on the way down," I argued. Sam sighed catching my attention.
"Why don't you just tell her you like her?" Sam asked causing me to laugh.
"What's the worst that could happen?" Corey asked clearly not thinking.
"What's the worst that could happen?" I asked slightly offended he would even ask. "She's already rejected me, she won't talk to me if she has to reject me again." I blurted. The guys looked at me confused. I sighed thinking back to last night. I hoped the world would open and swallow me.
"You asked her out?" Sam asked, his tone showing that he knew me well enough to assume I had the confidence to ask even if we were drunk. I scoffed.
"As if. I asked to kiss her," I sulked but Sam still looked at me confused.
"What did she say?" Sam asked so I laughed.
"Well, she said no. Obviously," A sarcastic tone lacing my tongue.
"No." Sam sighed. "What did she say?" He exaggerated but I rolled my eyes. She said no.
"She said something about not wanting to kiss me because she's drunk and joked that I should ask another time but in polite British terms that means fuck off." I indulged him in the information. Sam just smiled at me before laughing. I clenched my jaw knowing he was laughing at me.
"Dude, she wasn't rejecting you. She wants to kiss you sober," Sam tried but I scoffed.
"No, she doesn't want to kiss me, she doesn't want to be with me, it's simple," I argued but Sam shook his head.
"There's only one way to find out." Corey started so I looked at him expectantly. "Ask her again when you're both sober," I verbally laughed. This is a joke! How do these two have girlfriends? They know nothing about girls.
"You're hilarious," I sarcastically commented but he rolled his eyes sick of me. I know this morning she said to ask another time but it was probably just a joke, a flirty heartbreaking joke.
"Ask her, what's the worst that could happen?" Corey asked again and it anger me more than anything.
"There you go again with the "What's the worst that could happen?" Bullshit!" I snapped. "She could reject me, she wouldn't want to be my friend, she'd avoid me, she'd think I'm a weirdo, she wouldn't want to hang out with you guys, I'd never see her again," I sulked rubbing my forehead from the stress of the situation.
"Yeah, but what's the best thing that could happen?" Corey asked a glistening hope in his tone but I scoffed.
"She would stay friends with you guys and I'll have to watch her be happy with the waiter knowing he couldn't show her the amount of love I could," I sighed sadly. The guys shared a look, I know why they did but I don't care. I don't care that I said the word love. I don't think I'm in love with her I just know I can make her feel loved. I sighed as I rubbed my forehead, I ended up resting my elbows on the table and holding my head in my hands.
"You've never had a crush this deep," Corey noted making me laugh. That changes nothing. She is too perfect to want me. An awkward silence fell over us. The waiter arrived at the table placing all the drinks down from his tray. I glared at him slightly. It angers me the more, fact that he is conventionally attractive. He doesn't have any weird facial deformities and knows how to get Danni's attention, she's probably in the bathrooms telling the girls how much she likes the waiter. I sighed resting back in my chair. I don't have a chance, I should give up and stop fooling myself. I can't believe I was desperate enough to follow the suggestion online to dress similarly to her so she'd notice me. I feel ridiculous. The waiter was just about to walk away when Corey called him back, I looked at him confused but Corey held a smirk across his face.
"Hey, you know the girl with the blue hair?" He asked so I looked at him confused, what's he doing? The waiter nodded with a smirk, I bit my tongue attempting not to stand up and punch him in the face.
"Yeah, is she single?" He asked so I scoffed. He seemed to look at me so I glared at him.
"Yeah, she is. But she's shy, you have to be direct with her, show her you're in charge." Corey advised, I was half confused, half infuriated. She isn't shy, why is he saying she is?
"That's surprising, she is smoking hot," The waiter commented deep in thought. I clenched my jaw trying to figure out what he was thinking. He's probably thinking of her naked, I half smirked knowing I had already seen her half-naked so had one on him. He chuckled with a smile. "Thanks for the heads up," The waiter cheered before walking away.
I almost snapped my neck to look at Corey.
"What the fuck are you doing?" I asked, my voice slightly raised.
"She doesn't like him, she is going to shoot him down," Corey stated like it was simple but I wanted to jump over the table to strangle him.
"Are you insane? If she doesn't turn him down he has a chance," I argued but Corey shook his head.
"He doesn't. Look-"
"Hey," Sam said loudly to shut us both up. I looked over to see the girls coming back to the table. Danni was leading them so as soon as I saw them I sighed. I don't have a chance in hell. God, she's so beautiful! Her makeup was perfect, her hair slightly curly but pulled out of her face with a clip. She's gorgeous! She smiled at me and I seemed to calm a little instantly, I sighed as I looked away. It's hard seeing how beautiful she is when I know she'll never be mine. I resorted to looking at the table, not wanting to admire her any longer knowing it would only hurt me more.
