COLBY'S POV:
Corey pulled me aside with a gloating smirk. "See, you still have a chance," He commented making me chuckle. I nodded with a smile.
"Yeah, you were right," I sighed but I couldn't stop smiling. Do I really have a chance? I mean, she's flirty and seems to look at me a certain way but I don't know if it's in my head, like wishful thinking. Corey chuckled as he smiled, we turned back to the others, and Danni was already smiling at me before I even looked at her. God, she's heavenly!
"We'll see you back at the house?" Sam asked but Danni chuckled slightly.
"Colby and I are actually going to grab some paint so we'll see you later?" She asked but everyone else smirked. I tried hiding my chuckle. God, they're making this so obvious! It should be embarrassing but just looking at Danni calms me instantly.
"Yeah, have fun," Kat practically sang as she walked away. Everyone joined her as they whispered on the way to Sam's car. Danni laughed as she shook her head making her way to her truck. I followed her lead, I climbed into the truck and noticed Danni was already smiling at me, I chuckled as I looked at her.
"What?" I asked but she chuckled.
"You seem a lot happier," She commented in a knowing tone. I laughed as I nodded.
"What can I say? I like to be alone with you," I shrugged playing off as a joke, she licked her lips before nodding and starting the engine. Even the way she licks her lips is attractive! She started driving us to buy some paint.
"Are you planning on painting today?" I asked wanting to hear her sexy accent again. She shrugged.
"I was thinking I might but I'd rather hang out with you guys," She smiled, and I couldn't help but smile.
"Well, I don't know about anyone else but I'd love to help," I suggested, she smiled brightly, glancing at me quickly before looking back at the road. She chuckled slightly.
"I'll have to dig out my clothes for painting," She explained making me grin.
"I'll text the others to ask if they want to help," I explained but smirked to myself. I pulled my phone from my back pocket and texted Sam. ("I'm supposed to ask if you guys want to help Danni paint but I'll just say that none of you want to, thanks!") I smirked as I sent the text, Danni noticed my expression making her laugh. "What?" I asked playfully hoping she hadn't read the message. She chuckled.
"You must really like to paint to be this excited." She commented making me laugh. Sam replied so I checked his reply trying not to smile. ("Yeah, we're too busy, (Smirking emoji),") I cleared my throat trying to hide my smirk.
"They're not feeling up to it, Sam says they're busy." I shrugged putting my phone away, Danni chuckled as she nodded. She seems to know but I won't say anything if she won't.
DANNI'S POV:
Colby and I were driving to the paint shop. When he said he would ask the others if they wanted to help paint I didn't expect him to actually ask. When he was trying not to smirk I knew he hadn't actually asked, it's adorable. He loves being alone with me, I know I do. We pulled up to a random paint store and climbed out of the truck. We approached the colour samples. I pulled out my phone and stepped closer to Colby to show him the screen.
"This is my house floor plan," I explained showing him the sketch I was given when I bought the house. "I was thinking a bright and reflective colour for the living room and-" I continued to explain my ideas as I ignored my better senses to look at Colby. I could see out of the corner of my eye that he was looking at me and not my phone, I just smiled as I went on.
COLBY'S POV:
I couldn't help but admire her. She's so beautiful! How has the world only just now had us meet? I feel like I know everything and yet nothing about her all at once. I want to know everything! I want to know what makes her laugh, what makes her cry, I want to know what makes her feel. I hope I do. I hope I have the chance to make her feel loved. She deserves love. I don't know what she has been through or what the future holds for her but I hope it's something amazing! I want her to smile like she's the happiest person in the world but I also want to hold her when she cries. I just want her.
DANNI'S POV:
I finished explaining everything to Colby, knowing for a fact he hadn't heard a word I said. I couldn't look at him. I know I'd swoon so I opted out. I smiled to myself and drew my eyes to the colour swatches available.
"Okay," I announced as I looked over the colours. "So, something light for the living room," I added and Colby seemed to be back to normal. He cleared his throat and stepped forward so he was beside me also looking at the paint options.
"Are you thinking white?" He asked but I pulled a face of uncertainty. I wouldn't like white, it's too plain and everyone knows there is nothing plain about me, it's plain and simple. I chuckled to myself at my thought process. "How about light blue?" Colby asked stepping forward again to reach out for some of the palettes. I raised an eyebrow impressed that he seemed to understand me without words. He looked the colours over before handing them to me. I smiled giddily as our hands touched for half then half a second. Even small contact sends an excited shiver down my spine.
