DANNI'S POV:

I finished taking all of my last-minute boxes into the house. I smiled happily as I looked around. All the boxes were stacked in the main room, I walked around the whole house mentally mapping what I was going to do with each room. It seems excessive but a three-bedroom house is what I need. The master bedroom had an ensuite making me smile happily, the other rooms were spacious and I knew would be perfect for my offices. I have an office for my gaming PC and Twitch set up and another as a quiet room for my Laptop and reading, I will have to get a couch that pulls out to a bed so I can have guests over. I started the task of taking each of the boxes to their designated rooms, thankfully I labelled them otherwise this would have taken way too long. I considered going to Sam's party as I was working.

It would be a good way to meet local people, I haven't been to a party in years, it would be a celebration for me moving, I could meet my neighbours, I sighed as I thought of all the positives of going. I have no idea which box has my dresses and heels. I pottered about opening some boxes as I continued to consider going.

I pulled my phone out to text Sam.

"Hey, what is the dress code? I can't find my dresses," I added a laughing emoji and put my phone back in the pocket of my leggings. I continued searching through my stuff and found my bedsheets. I smiled, relieved. I made my bed ready for tonight and moved the boxes to the side, I pulled out the flatpack for my bedside tables and got to work on them as soon as I find my toolbox. I reluctantly search each room knowing I had seen and moved it. I sighed with relief when I spotted it behind some boxes. My phone distracted me. I read Sam's reply with a smile.

"Wear whatever you want, are you coming?" He asked with an excited emoji beside it, I chuckled as I typed.

"I'm still considering it, I've just started undertaking the task of a flatpack," I replied and Sam instantly responded with a laughing emoji. I smiled at my phone before continuing with my job. I played music as I worked and seemed to get into the swing of things. I ended up building my two bedside tables, a set of drawers, and my vanity table.

COLBY'S POV:

I would have been ready hours ago if I had been able to pick an outfit. I was going back and forth to my closet and mirror. I realized I need a professional opinion and did the unthinkable, I disturbed Kat while she was doing her makeup. I hurryingly knocked on Sam's bedroom door, and he replied in a worried tone but as soon as I walked in with a pile of clothes in my arms he rolled his eyes but Kat laughed as she stood up to approach me. I dumped the clothes on Sam's bed and Kat instantly started going through the pile trying to help me. I was thankful she was taking me seriously.

"You know, she might not even come, right?" Sam asked, interrupting Kat's discussion on what one of the outfit options says about me as a person. Kat scoffed and waved Sam off.

"Ignore him," Kat continued helping me when Sam's phone buzzed and he gasped slightly. Kat and I continued talking but Sam interrupted us again.

"Danni just asked what the dress code is," He explained seeming excited. Kat squealed but it filled me with dread. We ended up having a big debate on what Sam should reply.

"Is she coming?" I asked the panic probably noticeable in my tone. Sam typed away before his phone buzzed again.

"She doesn't know but we have to get you ready just in case," He explained as he threw his phone aside and got up to help us. I sighed with relief, the more help the better.

DANNI'S POV:

I paused the music on my phone and realized the time was 6:05. I still couldn't make up my mind if I should go to the party, I mean I'm late but I don't think it matters. Heads, I go to the party, tails, I stay home.

"Hey, Siri. Heads or tails." I waited for the phone to load. Now that I was waiting for the answer I realized that I was hoping it would land on heads. I smiled as I locked my phone and hurried to get ready. I still couldn't find the box with my dresses, so jeans it is.

COLBY'S POV:

I spun slowly on the spot waiting for Sam and Kat's opinion. I held my breath in anticipation. They shared a look before they both smiled. I sighed with relief, finally, I look okay! Kat rushed to finish her makeup while Sam and I finished setting up the house for the party, I sorted the lights and music while he unpacked all the snack food and drinks we ordered. I kept checking my reflection and adjusting my hair, Sam gave me a white claw to calm my nerves. People would start arriving soon and I don't know if I feel sick from the nerves or if I'm hungry.
