WORDS: 1141

KAT'S POV:

"Come on, let's have some fun," I cheered, mentally wondering how I can tell Sam as soon as possible. I smirked with an idea. "I'll put some music on while we set up," I added casually. I got up, turned the speaker on and headed to my phone. I quickly texted Sam before putting the music on. I smiled at Danni to see her already smiling at me. We finished opening the paints before flattening the protective layer outside to protect the floor from the paint as this is guaranteed to be messy.

SAM'S POV:

I grabbed the twister box, camera and tripod. Colby came out of his room in black joggers and smiled nervously. I smiled reassuringly. My phone buzzed in my pocket, I intended to ignore it but when Colby helped carry the tripod and twister I had a free hand. I pulled my phone out of reading the text I had received. I gasped before reading the words a second time to be sure I read them right. I pressed the record button on the camera being sure to clear my throat so he wouldn't hear the little beep. "What's up?" Colby asked. I smiled a wide grin before turning my phone to show him.

"She likes him!" With excited and happy emojis to end the message. Colby's eyes widened, and his shocked expression soon developed into his wide, contagious smile. I smiled watching him become the happiest I've ever seen him.

"Are you serious? Are you messing with me?" He asked quickly, making me chuckle. His smile never faded.

"Dude, this is real, honestly," I cheered. I wanted to dance for him, to plan their dates. Oh, we could go on double dates I've always wanted to do that! They just have to start dating first. I watched as Colby's smile stretched wider than I thought was humanly possible. He danced on the spot slightly before he seemed to freeze. I looked at him alarmed as his dramatic change in mood caught me off guard.

"What do I do?" He asked and I knew he was about to start overthinking.

"Just act natural, pretend you don't know," I explained but he looked at me confused. "You know she likes you now so stay calm, just be extra flirty. She'll flirt back with you so just work up the courage to make a move," I explained feeling a little bad for prompting him to make the first move so I win the bet but It's for his own good and I know Kat would have said the same to Danni. Colby's smile had faltered but was still present showing I had helped. "Come on, let's get back to them and you can start flirting her socks off," I joked making Colby laugh. We started making out way downstairs and back to the girls. I stopped the recording with a smirk

DANNI'S POV:

I laughed with Kat as we talked about what happened at the shop earlier, she loves learning about all the cute moments Colby and I shared that she didn't get to witness. She was positively giddy. My eyes were instantly drawn to movement as I watched Colby walk in. He had a faint smile on his lips but as soon as his eyes met mine he was grinning widely. I couldn't help but smile before I looked away to look at Kat again. She was smiling happily with a small curve to the end of her lips showing she was trying not to smirk. I chuckled as I shook my head.

"Are we happy to get started?" I asked getting up again and facing the others. Everyone seemed to be in agreement so I led the way outside hoping they weren't doing anything behind my back.

SAM'S POV:

As soon as Danni had her back to us the three of us started dancing as we followed her. I took a moment to appreciate the two most important people in my life being happy.

DANNI'S POV:

Kat and I stood off to the side dancing and singing along to the music she was blasting while Sam and Colby set everything else up. Kat and I laughed as the song ended. I looked over at Colby to find him already watching me while I danced with Kat. I blushed, turning around so he couldn't see my reddening cheeks. Kat's sudden gasp shock me. It was only in the time of me finding the words to say and opening my mouth, that I heard the song. I groaned, rolling my eye's dramatically for effect. The song I released earlier this year: July. Was playing on the speaker.

"Come on, turn it off," I pleaded. Kat paused the song and gave me her full attention.

"If you don't want us to listen to it then we won't but if you let us listen I'll play one of my songs later," She explained fully shocking me.

"You sing?" I asked excitedly. Kay giggled as she nodded.

"So, do I press play?" She questioned with a grin. I chuckled as I nodded giving consent. I watched Sam and Kat's reaction as they listened. They began bopping their heads to the music before goofing off and exaggerating their dance to get laughs. I chuckled as I shook my head. I hate to admit it but I will have to eventually look at Colby. I took a deep breath preparing myself for the worst-case scenario of him hating my music. I managed to drag my eyes over to him to witness him quietly singing along, a large smile on his face. I sighed with relief. I can't believe he took the time to learn one of my songs. I approached him with a bright smile, he smiled as I got closer to him.

"You know my song?" I chuckled. Colby shook his head, his smile only growing brighter.

"I know a few of them. I may have strumbled, completely randomly onto your music and listened to all of them on repeat until I woke up at 5 am and turned it off just in time for you to wake me up this morning... Or I just really like this song," He joked making me burst out laughing. He's so adorable! I don't think I've ever had someone who cared enough to spend time on me the way Colby has.

"That's so sweet, thank you," I let out as I closed the distance between us to hug him. He wrapped his arms around me, hugging me securely. I've never felt so safe in my life. I melted into the hug a little when Colby bowed his head to the crook of my neck. I gasped softly when Colby's lips grazed the top of my shoulder. I could feel him smirking making me chuckle.
