"You will forgive yourself, won't you, Sunny?" Mari's voice echoed around Sunny's head.

"You're a good person, Sunny!" Came Basil's voice, frantic and scared.

"...cactus reminds me of you, Kel," Basil explained to Kel, holding up a small cactus for Kel to examine, watching him warily, to make sure he wouldn't try to grab it or something.

Sunny and Kel had been at Basil's for around an hour now, Kel completely entranced with the short, stubby cactus like he was a kid again. Sunny's head had been spinning since he had woken up that morning, memories flooding his head too quickly and making him feel sick and dizzy. Basil didn't notice the tension between the other two, just completely excited to talk to someone else other than Polly about his plants.

"There's a few sunflowers round the side of the house," Basil said, though awkwardly added, "I only started growing them round there after I got back from the hospital."

Kel glanced over at Sunny, who somehow seemed paler than usual, leaning against a wall, his eyes slightly glossy.

"Do you guys want to see them?" Basil asked, putting the cactus over on the windowsill, turning to the duo.

Sunny nodded, following Basil, who dashed excitedly out the room. Kel stayed in the room for a few moments, nervously watching Sunny stumble his way down the hallway, pushing his way out the doors, before hurrying after them.

"I thought this one wasn't going to grow," Basil explained to Sunny as Kel rocked back and forth on the balls of his feet, watching Sunny out the corner of his eye, "but now he's the tallest one!"

Sunny smiled weakly at his friend, knowing how much his plants mean to him.

"I was thinking of seeing if it was possible to grow watermelons or something like it, since-" Basil started, before looking at a distinctly mortified Sunny, shaking head viciously, "no?"

"How about we head inside and watch something for a while?" Kel offered, "Whatever you guys want - can't just be me who thinks how hot today is!"

"It has been getting really warm today," Basil agreed, "I'll see if we have any lemonade, oh! Do you mind if I invite Polly?"

Kel shook his head and smiled, watching Basil head inside. Sunny staggered slightly on the spot, looking up at the sky, making his way inside, leaving Kel to anxiously follow once more.

Sunny made his way to the sofa, perching himself on the edge and pushing himself in the corner, making sure there was enough room for the others, Kel fanning himself as he dropped onto the sofa beside him. Basil came back with Polly, each of them holding two glasses of lemonade. They handed them out, then turned on the TV.

"What do you guys want to watch?" Polly asked, flicking through the channels, "Pirates of the Caribbean? Finding Nemo?"

"Pirates of the Caribbean!" Kel yelled excitedly, looking at Basil and Sunny who were both nodding enthusiastically.

"Pirates of the Caribbean it is, then," Polly said, laughing to herself, before leaving the room, saying something about 'letting you guys catch up'.

In the middle of the movie, Sunny dozed off, leaning his head slightly against Kel's shoulder, the two of them relaxing in each others company, Basil grinning at Kel as Kel felt his face go red.

When the movie ended, they ended up watching Finding Nemo, though they both didn't have the heart to wake the sleeping Sunny, so they watched the movie, and near the end, Sunny stirred. He yawned, stretching slightly, almost hitting Kel.

Kel hugged Sunny, seeing colour returning to his cheeks. After he slept, Sunny felt a bit better, the memories stopped flooding in so quickly, feeling less sick and dizzy, feeling more motivated to hang out with his friends.

"Sorry, guys," Sunny apologised, sipping his lemonade, "I didn't mean to fall asleep."

"That's fine, Sunny," Basil said, giving Kel a playful nudge as he stood up, "Nothing too interesting happened anyway, just a cartoon."

"What's he talking about?" Sunny asked Kel as they watched Basil's retreating back as he took his and Kel's empty glasses away.

"Nothing, Sunshine," Kel said, praying his face wasn't red, "Basil being Basil - but actually, do you want to head to Hobeez?"

"Where'd this come from?" Sunny asked, "Basil coming?"

"He can if he wants," Kel shrugged, reaching his hand out to cover Sunny's, "just wanted to head out with my buds!"

He winced inwardly when he called Sunny a 'bud', but until he decided to stop wimping out, he'd have to suffer the consequences of his own actions. Sunny nodded, getting to his feet, Basil coming back in.

"What're you guys up to?" Asked Basil, grinning at Kel, "going somewhere together?"

"Do you want to come to Hobeez with us?" Kel asked, "we're just trying to make s'more memories like those in your photo album."

"You know... sure," Basil agreed, "but let me grab something."

Basil disappeared for a few moments while Sunny and Kel got their shoes on, reappearing with a little satchel for his camera and a new photo album.

"When I got out of the hospital, Polly bought me a new photo album and some camera film," Basil explained, "so I'm going to make more memories starting from now!"

"That's awesome, Basil!" Kel said enthusiastically, "when Hero gets back from college at some point, remember to get some pictures of our height difference and him being afraid of bugs!"

Basil shook his head, sighing, "y'know what, Kel? Sure, I will, but it's going to be on my terms."

"Hmm, let's settle onnn..." Kel said, heading out the door with Sunny, "If I race you to Hobeez and win, you need to take a picture of Hero being shorter than me, or me winning something against him for once! I still haven't forgiven him for the arm wrestle!"

Sunny and Basil failed to stifle their laughter, laughing into their hands as Kel flicked his hair dramatically, acting like Hero, just more exaggerated and snobby-ish.

"Fine, fine," Basil agreed, "but if I win, you have too..."

Basil motioned for Kel to come closer, Sunny watching as Basil whispered something into Kel's ear, watching Kel's cheeks go pink.

"Deal?" Grinned Basil.

"Deal," Kel agreed, shaking Basil's hand, "then, let's go!"

He grabbed Sunny's hand, hoisting him onto his back and darted off down the road, Basil yelling at him to slow down and ran after them.
