Never ever date inside the family. It sucks! Look, I don't regret dating Josh, not at all. I loved the guy dearly, however this thing of him trying to win me back whenever he gets the chance, it's starting to annoy the shit out of me .

I'm currently watching my football team losing. Nothing great about that. Nathan is also scowling at the TV , I mean, the game is almost over and we are still on 0 , 0! Fucking hell, I wasn't expecting it to go this bad .

" Uncle Wylder!" My little guy runs to me while Lucas trails behind him .

" Buddy!" I ruffle the little guy's hair then pick him up, placing him on my lap as he also concentrates on the TV.

He has been mimicking everything Nathan and I do lately. It's amazing but at the same time funny, like one time he asked for me to give him a beer because I was drinking one. Since that day, Nathan and I hardly drink around him.

" Hey Wylder!" Lucas greets happily. I smile at him , with a slight nod of my head .

Nathan's head instantly turns to Lucas the second he hears Lucas's voice. Man, as someone who's not into lovey Dovey stuff forever, being around Lucas and Nathan is giving me hope that someday I might find my own person too.

" Hey, what's up? Are you okay?" Nathan questions .

" Yeah, I'm good. I'm just gonna take a quick nap . Will you be okay taking care of Toby?" Lucas yawns softly .

" Sure, we will be okay, go rest!" Nathan shoos Lucas away with a stupid grin on his face . Stupid grins are those type of grins most people who are smitten by somebody else wears whenever they see someone they love, yeah I know, perfect name .

" Do you think what happened at the party..." He motions with his hands . Tobias not even seeing a thing because he's too amazed by the TV " Changed something between us? Do you like see something between us? Do you?"

" Yeah, I definitely see some good vibes between you two . I don't know about Lucas, but I wouldn't let you back in my life just like that ." I mutter in all honesty .

" Why is that?" He frowns .

" Because you are doing the bare minimum Nathan . Damn , do I have to teach you everything?"

" The bare minimum? I'm doing the big stuff Wylder . Taking care of all the bills, Tobias and him, isn't that enough?"

" Are you really that oblivious?" I grumble. Nathan just shrugs " Man, take the guy out . Talk to him about random shit . Know him on a deeper level, do you even know his deepest fears?"

" Of course, I do. He's afraid of spiders!"

" Those are just basics . I mean, real deep shit, like he's worst childhood memories and stuff like that? You know, he had one hell of a rough childhood. You two ever touched that subject?"

" No...I...I don't know, too afraid to ask. What if he thinks I'm snooping around?"

" I doubt that Lucas will think that. He seems cool, just getting to know the guy . If I were Lucas, I wouldn't give you any booty until you knew my favourite kind of flowers!" I gently punch his arm when he looks at me like I have offended him.

" You are right though, I need to do some digging!"

Later on, I arrive home to find Josh by my dark porch. At first, I didn't notice him until he said hi, he scared the crap out of me

" I'm sorry, so sorry!" Josh says frantically at my frightened self.

I breathe in slowly, trying to get my heart beat to slow down . " What are you even doing here?" I go straight to the point . Not even trying to beat around the bushes.

" I understand now ." Josh plops down on one of the chairs on the porch. I join him against my will .

Turning him away would be pointless, he has been doing a lot of this . Coming here, and trying to understand why we broke up . And each and everyday, I always tell him that he should drop it and move on. He never does.

" Got a new theory on why we broke up again?" I ask. Acting interested .

" I get it . You like Lucas and I'm absolutely cool with that,. I just don't get why you would allow him to break us apart just like that . Why go after someone you can't have?" Josh whispers.

I take advantage of the fact that Josh can't see my face . So I scrunch up my face, wondering how the hell did he come to this conclusion? I may like Lucas but not the way Josh thinks. I like the guy because he's alright, got a nice personality and everything . He's also the best thing that has ever happened to Nathan. Why wouldn't I like him? Everybody likes Lucas, even my little brother thinks he's cool. They only met once .

" You know, you should invest more time into moving on than into trying to figure out why we broke up, perhaps that way, you wouldn't come up with crazy ideas ."

"Am I wrong though?"

" Of course you are. "I stand up . " Just go home ." I say to him . He tries to stop me from going inside .

" Jesus Josh, leave me alone!" I snap " I'm starting to get annoyed by your stupid behaviour. I no longer find it cute!" I push his hands away . This time, he doesn't try to stop me as I enter the house, shutting the door behind me.
