Clyde showed me the parchment of paper which looked like it was written many years ago. It was written in script and read:

For Light will defeat Darkness,

In the thirtieth year of Her summer solstice

Dragon's hearts are made of gold

Only a true blood can unfold

My head started to feel a bit dizzy after reading those few lines. The adrenaline rush from the mission awhile ago must have died down now. I put my hands to my temples attempting to steady it, as if it would make the dizziness go away.

Clyde must've sensed my almost burned out state, he immediately helped me up and walked me towards the door.. he was saying something like 'princess are you okay' but couldn't make out the words clearly. I was struggling hard to stay conscious but before I knew it, I was already in front of my bedroom door.

"I apologize for having to bombard you with everything tonight, princess. I got carried away and forgot you had a lot to deal with today. Forgive me."

He said, his head down, apologetic.

"No, no.. I'm the one.. who's sorry... I forced you to tell me everything.. so.." I replied, half groggy, half awake. Then I heard approaching footsteps that seemed to be in a hurry.

"Inez, Beth.. just in time.. please help the princess to her bed.. She's very tired. Please attend to her needs.." Clyde said hastily to the two maids, as I can feel two pairs of hands leading me to my bed. I felt my body flop down the bed, and immediately closed my eyes. Gawd I'm so tired.

When I awoke, the sun was shining brightly on my bedroom wall through the window.

I yawned. How many hours was I gone?

I sat up in bed and stretched my back, arms, and massaged my shoulders. Uhh.. that was a good sleep.

Instantly, the door opened and Beth came in with a laundry basket in her hand. I was so surprised because she didn't even knock.

Surprised as I was, she exclaimed, "Ho, thank heavenz! You're awake. I muzt tell the Master." Before she hurried off, I managed to stop her by asking what she meant,

"What do you mean, Beth? How long was I sleeping?"

"Oh my lady, you've been zleeping for two dayz, it's the morrow of yesterday'z yesterday now."

"I was out for two whole days?" I replied not believing her.

She nodded. Damn. This must be what it feels like waking up from a coma.

"Master Clyde mentioned, you muzt have been exhauzted from using your healing powerz for the very first time." She said, worry etched on her face.

She must've been staying up all night monitoring my condition.

"Yeah.. I guess." I replied mostly muttering to myself, hating myself for being such a weakling.

"I muzt go to Master Clyde now. I will bring you light breakfast right away." Beth said while closing the door in a hurry.

Before she left, I muttered a 'thank you' and she gave me a reassuring smile.
