Kendrik
"Come here, Kendrik." Emperor Ashraf, my grandfather, called out to me to go near him, as I was about to go wake Enzou up for training.
As an obedient eleven-year old and feared the great emperor, I swiftly walked the long hallway of the throne room. He sat at his throne with dignity and insurmountable aura emanating from the way he holds himself.
I bowed in greeting.
He stood up and went towards me.
"Look over here, Kendrik."
He went over to a table where there's a replica of Gaedwana made of mana, illuminated by a blue light. I then followed suit.
"This is Soccor." He pointed to the topmost part of the map.
"As you can see, we are on top of everyone else." He paused to look me in the eye.
"And we must do everything in our power to stay that way.. for the kingdom that holds great power, is a great kingdom. And one day, you will rule it."
"Do you understand?"
"Yes, grandfather." I answered in a quiet voice, a drop of sweat fell on my temples."Go now, you still have training." He ordered with eyes sharp, while walking back towards his throne.
I hurriedly left the throne room when I met General Yang at the door, probably to report something to grandfather.
He made a small bow to me before going to the Emperor, as I hurriedly reached for the door.
"Your Highness." I peeked through the very small opening of the door, as General Yang bowed down to grandfather.
"We have located the mines full of gold and diamonds."
He stated with an urgent tone, his head still down."Then what are you still doing here reporting to me, General Yang?" The emperor uninterestedly asked.
"Your Highness, the mine is situated below the dwellings of centaurs in Bane. It is heavily guarded." General Yang answered not looking up at the Emperor.
My grandfather slowly stood up from his throne and walked towards him, his hands folded and hidden under his long-sleeved robe.
"For how many years you've already known me, General Yang.." He paused in front of him and looked down at the soldier.
"Do you really think I care about a bunch of those ruthless creatures? Heavily guarded, you say?" The emperor's voice echoed throughout the room.
"Not.. if there's a wildfire." He stated casually, while retreating back to his throne.
"Understood, your highness."
General Yang kneeled and bowed down to the ground one last time, then started rushing towards the door. I quickly hid at the side where there were statues so that he won't see me.

It was finally the day of the Solstice.
I wore my heavy metal armor, and the necklace that Grandma Lai gave me for protection. I looked at myself in the mirror.
All the lines under my eyes signify all the sufferings I've been through all these years. It finally ends today.
As I was putting the last few parts of my armor, I heard a commotion outside the room. It was Scylla's voice.
