"You've been quite busy these days, duke." Khalil stated as he entered the door to the study. I continued writing in my desk, not looking up.
"I thought that you and the princess will grow closer to each other now that she's here. But what are you doing? You've been hiding in your study all day long!" Khalil complained.
I finally looked up from my desk, annoyed.
"I don't want to bother her and make her feel uncomfortable, Khalil." I explained, as if talking to a toddler.
"Yeah? So are you comfortable with the idea that she might be snatched away by some other men?" He pried.
"She barely goes out. And I think she's not Clyde's type." I answered nonchalantly, going back to what I was writing.
"Okay." He finally gave up and was about to leave the room, but stopped at the door.
"Oh by the way," He paused and turned to see if I was listening.
"They're off to Ammos now.. for their council meeting. Just wanna let you know.." He stated with a mischievous grin.
"And what does that have to do with me?" I asked, trying not to show my interest, and wondering where this man is getting at.
"Prince Caius is one of the Higher Council. I heard he's quite popular with the ladies wherever he goes." He answered with a coy smile on his face.
My eyes widened the moment he mentioned Prince Caius. I've heard of this 'prince'. His name sounds exactly like 'chaos' to me.
He was about to shut the door, when I stood abruptly from my desk and took my coat.
"What are you doing just standing there Khalil? We need to go now." I exclaimed.
"So you're finally going to see the princess?" He asked, proud of his successful attempt to lure me to her.
"I remembered we have some business to take care of in Ammos." I replied as a matter of factly.
"Business huh?" He just looked at me unbelievably with a blank expression.
"Right, duke. Business."

"What's that?"
"What's thaaat?"
"Oooooh.. what's that!?"
I can't help but smile at the princess' excitement and enthusiasm as we toured around the main capital in Ammos.
We were strolling around temples, small markets, and food stalls. The prince was leading the way, while I stayed behind watching the princess' amusing expressions.
While watching her amongst the crowd, I remember Khalil's words from a while ago.
You've been quite busy these days, duke.
The actual reason why I distanced myself from her is because of my real identity.. Because of my family. It just doesn't feel right to have these 'unfamiliar' feelings for her.
Being close to her makes me so elated, and when she's not around, I can't stop thinking about her. Am I actually getting mad?
Feeling the vial of dragon's blood in my pocket, which Clyde returned to me, reminds me of my past and my family's cruelty to the Sophronas.
How would the princess react once she finds out my family is Andalusia's enemy? That I'm actually a prince from Soccor?
I let out a deep sigh.
