Chapter 75

"Steady, steady, if you make a mark in the paint job I will kill you" I warned Olivia who was completing task 2 of my flying lesson, landing Thunderbird two was easy for me but she really struggled with this, she was terrified

"I can't do this" Olivia panicked "I'll never be able to be like you"

"You don't need to be like me to be a great rescue pilot" I tried to calm her down, she keeps freaking out all the time, it's adorable but it worries me, I wonder if she's ok, she looks really tired, she also looks like she hasn't eaten in a few days, I held her hand for a little bit

"I'm sorry" Olivia apologised, she seemed down too, I've been around her for long enough to know how her personality works, I knew why she was apologising, she always thinks that when she feels like sh*t, it hurts me, but it doesn't hurt me, she has a right to feel down

"What for" I asked

"Making you feel bad" Olivia replied

"No, you don't make me feel bad, come here you numpty" I whispered and I pulled her into a hug, she said she felt safer when I held her so I guess I'm trying to make her feel safe

"I'm so so sorry" Olivia sniffed and she nuzzled my neck a few moments later she was crying

"Baby it's ok, you know I'm alright with you feeling down" I mumbled, keeping her safe and happy was my number one priority, I may have carried her back to the house when she fell asleep, I know I couldn't walk properly but at least I tried, I would often get myself hurt trying to protect her and it was worth it, she nearly got shot on a rescue once and I took the bullet, luckily my jumpsuit is bulletproof otherwise I would have been just as screwed as she was

"Virgil you're walking, but your physiotherapist said you wouldn't be able to for a few weeks-" Scott mumbled I held my hand up to stop him

"Yeah well I'm a f*cking wizard ok" I joked

"Ok then, well do your weird wizardry stuff elsewhere ok" Scott laughed quietly

I put Olivia down on my bed so she could sleep, yes, for some odd reason she sleeps better when she's with me, she woke up a few minutes later

"Virgil, I need to tell you something" Olivia lowered her voice

"What is it" I wondered

"I think Lucas is back, I think he wants me dead, or he either wants me as a weird sex slave type thing" Olivia told me

"Well he won't get you, I'll make sure of it, my brothers can help too" I reassured her

"I think it's best if I just give myself in, I have no purpose other than sex" Olivia muttered

"What no, you have a purpose, you help me out on rescues" I protested

"I'm not even smart either" Oliva added

"Hey you are smart, you're smart like your uncle" I told her

"Why don't I believe you then" Olivia questioned me

"Because you don't need to believe me, no one needs to believe me" I sighed

No one believes me when I compliment them, it sucks that no one trusts me
