Chapter 16

*three weeks later*

I was finally back at school, I emptied my bag into my various draws, I had my uniform lying folded on the dresser, I heard a knock at the door

"Yo, is there a Mr Alan Tracy rooming here" I heard a familiar voice

"Aliver, boy am I glad to see you again" I smiled when I saw my friend standing outside my door

Basically you pronounce Aliver as Oliver but it's starts with an A

"So did your poncy brothers let you fly the 'bird" Aliver asked

"No, I think I finally f*cked up this time, I managed to dye Virgil's hair pink, I slipped it in his shampoo, I didn't think it was that bad" I sighed

"Oh yeah Adam told me about that, I think your brother should be glad he isn't getting any placements until next year" Aliver laughed

Aliver has an older brother called Adam, I always liked the Townsend family, they were always nice to me, I only know them because dad knows their dad from his old astronuaghting days, I'm only allowed to tell the Townsends about me being part of International rescue

"Yeah, I was so bored over summer, the only interesting things that happened was someone dying and a girl is helping out at International Rescue" I told him

"Oh well, I suppose you have other chances to fly Thunderbird three" Aliver smiled and he sat down next to me

"Yeah, other chances" I grumbled, I've had this same room for the three years I've spent here, I found my form official badges, the school council one and the sports captain one

"Still haven't told them yet" Aliver noticed I was holding the badges

"They wouldn't care anyway, they never have" I muttered

"Not even Virgil, I thought you two were trying to bond over the summer" Aliver frowned

"I was going to tell him but he was too swept up, you know being the medic of the family" I sighed again, I had put air quotes around the word family

"I thought his specialty was heavy lifting and logistics, though I haven't seen him in any UPS vans lately" Aliver joked

I had to laugh at my friends humour

"Come on Allie, you have to try and set things straight with your brothers, these are the people you have to live with and work with" Aliver raised an eyebrow at me

*Virgil's POV*

Gordon was still laughing at my hair

"Gordon stop laughing at me before I break your kneecaps" I threatened

"Oh sorry princess bubblegum" Gordon sniggered

"That's it!" I shouted and I threw my book to the floor, I grabbed his shirt collar

"Virgil, please put your brother down" dad looked over at me, I placed Gordon back on the floor, he scarpered off after that

I sat back down, my phone was ringing, it was Alan's number, I answered to see what that little brat wanted

"Virgil, how do you treat head wounds, specifically the ones you get from smacking your head on a cabinet" Alan asked shakily, he seemed like he had been crying, I was now starting to worry

"Dad can I take Thunderbird two out for a ride" I asked dad

"No, it's too dangerous, what if you get seen, I'm not letting you risk it" dad replied

"Fine then, sorry Al, I can't get to you, try the nurses office" I instructed

"We don't have a nurses office on the ground" Alan sobbed
