I couldn't believe what I was seeing and for a second I was hoping I was delirious because I was tired.

"Look, I didn't get any answers from him so I had to improvise." Hope explained calmly.

"This is how you improvise? You tie him to a chair? What are we going to do with him?" I asked incredulously. I shouldn't have been surprised Hope was capable of doing something like that.

"We interrogate him. If he cooperates, he gets to live. It's a win-win situation." She shrugged.

"We are not killing a guy!" I rubbed my eyes. "Fuck." I muttered.

"Fine, we can just hurt him a little for answers. Or we could shoot him up. Get him addicted to heroin." Hope suggested.

"We can just hurt him a little? Please tell me this is a sick joke." I scoffed. I was beyond angry with Hope and I wished she hadn't pulled me into this situation.

"No, I'm serious. There's a toolbox on that table there." She pointed at the table next to Pat. "Don't give me that look, this is your revenge."

"You don't understand, we're gonna get caught. The guy knows us." I tried to explain how serious this situation was.

"He knows Ella, that's it. He's blindfolded." Hope walked closer to Pat and flicked his head. Pat whimpered in fear at the sudden touch.

"Look at him, he's about to piss himself." I told Hope.

"Well yes, that's exactly where we want him to be." Hope told me as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Alexis, is that you?" Pat asked.

"Well, shit." I sighed. I pushed Pat's blindfold down so he could see. He blinked a few times, getting his eyes accustomed to the dim lights and looked around.

"Why did you do that?" Hope asked.

"He knows who we are anyway. What's the point?" I asked.

"What's happening? Why are you girls keeping me here?" He moved his wrists but they only scratched his skin against the rope.

"We need answers. If you don't give them to us, we'll get you arrested for child porn." Hope stated calmly. It almost seemed like she did this on a daily basis while I just felt like I was part of a bad movie.

I was relieved Hope threatened with that instead of torture or murder.

"What do you want to know?" Pat asked, I didn't miss the desperate undertone in his voice. Even though he knew who we were, he was still afraid.

Hope shot me a look, silently telling me this was my chance.

"You know my dad." I stated. In the corner of my eye I watched as Hope went to sit on the table near us. There was a bored expression on her face.

"This is about Eric? Why don't you just ask him what you want to know?" Pat furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.

"I can't." I told him.

"I see." Pat said with a sad look in his eyes. Even though I didn't tell him why, I could see he knew what I meant.

"Start telling, old man. I don't wanna sit here all night." Hope interfered.

"What do you want to know? We met in high school. I was the silent new kid, he was the popular jock-"

"My dad was popular? He only knows how to communicate with people when it comes to business." I raised my eyebrow.
