CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE, firecracker.

BRIELLE,

After getting home and finally taking a shower, I felt so much better being able to change out of damp clothes. I felt so dirty after falling into that lake. Every time we go out and do something, I get so tired by the end of the day. I knock out in bed every time.

I walked out to the living room, seeing everyone but Danny. "Where's Danny?" I asked them.

Kewon pointed to the back door, "he went outside, he took a call from someone."

I nodded in thanks, before walking over to the door and looking through the blinds. I saw him standing with his phone to his ear, with his back facing the door. I slowly opened the door, stepping outside, as he took a glance back at me.

With his other arm, he opened it up to me, indicating for me to walk over to him. He leaned against the wall, wrapping an arm around me as I snuggled up to him.

"Yeah, yeah," he nodded, "yeah I just wanted to make sure if it would, you know— yeah like, I already have it planned and all."

Danny put his phone on speaker, now the both of us listening to his manager talk over the phone.

"Yeah, you could definitely do it. I mean, it's your brand, but it was good to let me know on it too. You're always adding new shit, but they always do good."

"Dude, I know, thats why I want to do it."

His manager laughed, "for sure. Yeah well we can keep talking it out. We can carry out with it, it's whatever."

"Alright man, thanks."

"Yeah, no problem. I'll talk to you soon."

Once they hung up the call, he put his phone back into his pocket, now hugging me with both of his arms as he rested his chin on the top of my head.

"What's the matter?" He rubbed my back.

"Nothing. I was just looking for you. I wanted to check on you and see what you were doing."

"Just talking to my manager about merch and stuff, nothing too big. It's about the women's clothing. I just have to let him know about everything."

I picked my head up from his chest, looking at his face. Danny kept his arms around me as I touched on his face and played with his hair. "Your hair is getting longer."

"I know, I need to cut it soon again... you know, I realized I haven't brought you to my other property yet. I should definitely check up on that place." Danny chuckled.

"Oh, yeah! I wanna see it!" I looked up at him, "when I go back to LA, when will you be coming back?"

"See, when I come home, I stay here sometimes for months. It usually depends. But that shouldn't matter, I go back and forth. I'll probably stay here for another two weeks or so."

"That's not too bad. Just don't go ghost on me again."

"Dude, why would I do that now? I mean, not that I ever did it," he replied, making me give him a playful look. "Don't even worry about it."

"Yo bri, wassup. I'm in LA, just got back from Florida last night," I mocked him, referring back to the morning he texted me of the day we hung out for the first time in months. "Making me sound like a fucking hook up."

Danny stuck his arms out, "hey, it worked."

I got off of him, "oh, absolutely not. I'm going back home tomorrow." I exclaimed, playfully shoving him.

"I'm kidding!" He tried to grab me and pull him closer to me. "You would know if I wanted to just fuck."

I laughed, being sarcastic, "oh yeah, let's not forget, you're a pro at that."

"You're getting on me, what about you? You're telling me you had no situations, for this whole time you've been single? I haven't forget about some of the things you used to tell me—"

I rolled my eyes, laughing, "okay, okay. Well we're here now. Nothing from both sides of the past matters anymore."

"Right," Danny sighed while smiling, "exactly. No games, just us." Danny pulled me back into a hug, making me give him a kiss on the lips.

"But seriously, I'm not gonna be too sad about it, but I'll def miss you," I tickled his side. "I do really need to get back to my house, though. I also miss my girl, Sciana."

"Who's that?!"

"My car."

Danny laughed at me, shaking his head. "Well, either way, we'll see each other always. You could also stay here with me until then, too. I'll take care of your flight. But, I think you should go back just to check on everything just in case, I know you miss it your house. You could always catch a flight back."

I nodded, "you're right."

We both heard laughter coming from inside of the house, causing us to become curious. I walked away from Danny, peeking through the half-opened window blinds inside that exposed the living room and kitchen area. The guys were just sitting together, not doing anything, watching tv and on their phones.

"What are they doing?" Danny asked me, as he watched me.

"Just chilling."

"Let me text Alex to come out here."

Danny pulled his phone out, typing a message to Alex. I watched Alex pick his phone up, he stood up and walked into the hallway. He then came back out, holding the camera as he fast walked to the back door.

He handed Danny a microphone, which he clipped onto his shirt. "What are y'all doing?"

"His idea, not me."

Once Alex held the camera up, Danny began talking, "I have leftover firecrackers from my birthday party," he laughed to himself, taking the two that were left on the table. "I just need to get a lighter... hold on."

Danny jogged off towards the front of the house, quickly making it back in less than two minutes. He pulled his phone out, still giggling to himself.

Danny handed me two firecrackers, "light these, throw it at them."

"Danny, you're so mean to them," I giggled with him, "really?"

"Yes, babe, go, go!" He whispered to me, holding his phone up, indicating that he was already recording.

We stood by the door, my hand holding the door knob as the other held a firecracker. Danny lit the end of it, I waited about two more seconds before quickly opening the door, and throwing it in the living room.

"Dude!"

Pop, pop, pop! It was actually really loud for a small one, causing me to flinch as well. Kevin rolled off the couch, as I saw Kewon run around the couch to get away. I laughed out loud seeing everyone's genuine, pure fear, reactions.

"GET DOWN!" Someone shouted, like someone had a gun.

"You guys are fucked up!" Roscoe, who was sound asleep, sat up from the chair. "So fucked."

Danny nudged my arm, "one more."

I held the last one up, waiting for him to light it. Everyone began to scramble away again, as is quickly scoped around. I saw Marsh hiding away with two other guys who ran by him, which I aimed it their way. I turned away, getting closer to Danny as I hid behind him. Alex moved away toward a corner, still looking through the camera lens.

"Fuck you, Bri!"

POP! I felt a little piece hit my leg, causing me to let out a shriek. Danny was too busy laughing his ass off, as he used the back of the couch to hold himself up. He turned the phone over to me and Alex, then back to everyone else.

Danny collected himself, gasping for air, "oh shit, dude," He said with a smile on his face. "I have to open the windows."

I walked out the back door, leaving it propped open. Just from those two, the house filled with smoke. Danny continued to record, laughing and joking around with the guys.
