CHAPTER THIRTY, boat fight.

BRIELLE,

Today, I insisted on making breakfast, instead of going out to eat again. I sent Danny to the store earlier this morning along with a list of what to get. He already had some things, so he didn't have to get too much. As I was preparing everything of what I already had, Danny came back just in time.

He walked through the door, putting the bags on the table next to me. I smiled at Danny, "thank you!"

I walked over to him, standing on my tippy toes, kissing him continuously on the cheek as I caressed his opposite cheek with my hand.

"Here's your card back," he handed me my debit card, "it was useless. Didn't even use it."

"What? Why?!" I exclaimed, staring at him in annoyance, "how much was everything?"

"Not too much." He shrugged, walking around me to grab the container of fruits.

I sighed to myself, taking everything out of the bags. I began to mix the ingredients I use for my french toast. Danny leaned against the counter, right next to me as he kept me company.

I stood across from him, at the stove as I started with the toast. I began to heat up another pan to get it ready for another thing I needed to cook. I could feel Danny just staring at me from behind.

"Bri," Danny called out, "Brielle... babe, turn around open your mouth."

"What—"Just suddenly, I felt something hit my eye, causing me to gasp and hold my hand over my face.

"Oh," Danny laughed, wheezing to himself, "I'm sorry." He bent down, picking up a blueberry from the ground.

"What is wrong with you?!" I laughed with him, playfully hitting his arm as he flinched away. "Try it again."

I opened my mouth, as he flung another towards my mouth. I felt it hit the back of my throat perfectly, causing me to cough out loud. Danny laughed even harder.

"What the hell?" I covered my mouth, clearing my throat as I slowly chewed on the blueberry. "Is it not that funny."

"Just a little," he continued to chuckle to himself. "I want to help you."

I nodded at him, "come over here," I told him, as he stood next to me, "dip the slices of bread in this, dip, don't soak. Then, place them in the pan. Once they turn golden brown, like these ones, you can take them off and just do it again. I'll start on frying the bacon."

I carefully watched, as Danny slowly followed my instructions. Once he did two slices of bread, I began to cook the rest of the food. I looked over at him, seeing him so focused on doing what I told him to do. I quickly grabbed my phone, taking a quick picture of him.

"Cute!" I dragged out the 'u' smiling as I looked at him through my phone.

We continued on finishing the food, which didn't take too long. We both talked, joked around, like always during the process of it all. I turned off the stove, placing the pan on a different burner to let it cool off. I grabbed the plate filled with a whole load of toast bread, covering it with powdered sugar and placed it down next to the bowl of fruits.

I stared at my phone, texting my mom back as I leaned on the counter. Danny placed the dirty dishes in the sink, rinsing them off and putting them to the side to be washed later.
