Yesterday went by as if nothing ever happened. I used my evening to train myself until I was so sore I could barely walk and spend the night again at Four's and Tris's place.

Tris came to talk to me the next morning. She told me that the leaders had decided that I'd be able to live in the Dauntless born's dormitory for the rest of the initiation.

Today was a free day. No tests. No training. I wandered to the pit while excited initiates passed me left and right. I couldn't help but to feel at least a little hopeful. I tried to suppress it but the talk with Mason and Felix yesterday really gave me hope that my family would come too.

They won't come. Just like Isa said. Just like Gina said.

I shook the thoughts from my head and grabbed myself a muffin.

I ate my breakfast in the peace and tranquility of my own thoughts while the pit boomed with life all around me. It didn't take long for Mason's crew the plop down next to me with their usual grins glued on their faces. Mason did what he did every morning; place his head on the table and try to get some more sleep while the others started their conversations again.

"So is it true?" Mason's friend asked.

"Is what true?"

"That you'll be living with us." he replied simply which caused Mason to lift his head and watch me.

"Yup"

"Told ya!" He shouted at Felix and Mason.

Felix held his hands up and nodded. "Just because you're right once doesn't mean that I'll forget the other ten times that you were wrong."

"Pshh" He waved off "It's not that many."

"Like hell it is!" an other friend of Mason stepped in. "You've been wrong for as long as I can remember."

I watched their little conversation until they too were done eating. I decided, since I were to be sleeping in the same room as them, that I'd hang around with them for the day. I had no idea what they usually did on a normal day anyway.

The others were happily chatting as we left the pit. I lagged behind with Mason at my side. He was still sleepy but at least tried to look alive. Just when he opened his mouth to say something, a familiar voice boomed from behind us.

"Rogue!" Eric shouted causing my group to stop and look back. Once he was sure that I'd seen him he continued and ordered: "I want you to be in my office at five."

I nodded and turned back around. Since the others just stared at me I walked on, knowing that they'd follow me anyway.

"Did you get in trouble again?" Felix asked disbelieving.

"Not that I know of."

"So what does he want from you?"

"Well since he decided to wait until the visiting is over, it must be something simple like training." I deducted.

"A training? Yeah right. Why would the leader take the time to train an initiate?" Mason's friend huffed.

"Maybe it's something extra they give to the first place holder?" I guessed. I honestly had no idea what ran through Eric's mind. Especially since I thought that I'd be dead by now, that he'd seen through my bluff. But apparently he hadn't just refrained himself from killing me, he'd also made a 180 degree turn and stopped looking for ways to kick me out. I didn't trust it. Not one bit. I'd already gotten myself to the point where I knew that I should be on my guard 24/7 because I never knew when Eric would change his mind again. "I've got no idea."
