"I see that you already got it so let's start."

He showed me where to run and gave me a little titanium bracelet. He explained that the bracelet carried a tracer so that I wouldn't try to find a spot to hide from the cameras.

The round itself was quite long and it took me about 5 minutes to complete one. Not only was the route long, it was also dangerous. I had to run past the slippery road at the chasm, had to go through the busy streets of the pit and had to cross some sketchy bridge without railing. The first round was actually fun. I didn't mind running and there were a lot of things to see. The second one was a little bit less fun since my legs were screaming at me. What dafuq did you do?! We're on fire! Come onnn let's just go a little slower. I ignored it and kept my steady pace.

after what I thought was a bit more than hour of running my stomach began to growl. A lot of people had already gone to the pit to eat. Which caused for a lot of trouble for me since I had to run through there.

"Hey Rogue!" Mason said. He was walking with some other Dauntless initiates. Probably his friends. And he was waving like an idiot with a big grin on his face. I knew that he wanted to talk or at least stop me. "Can't talk!" I shouted back, already getting closer. There was still about twenty meter in between us.

"Why not?" He said with a pouty face.

"Eric." 10 meter left.

"I'll just have to stop you then." he said laughing.

Shit.

Then I saw an opportunity. He was ready to catch me if I ran straight forward. He probably would catch me. So I sprinted. Just before he could grab me I jumped on the table next to him, dodging him successfully.

"Oh no you don't" I heard him say behind me. I glanced over my shoulder and saw him running after me. And not just running. Actually catching up on me.

RUN.

I ran as fast as I could but Mason was quicker. He pulled me at my shirt and even though I tried to keep running I knew it had no use. My legs were so tired and finally they agreed.

"Ha! caught you" he said with a grin.

"Yeah you did. Stupid" I said a bit frustrated.

"What's wrong?"

"You just caused me a lot of trouble."

"What? Are you playing a game or something?" he said still smiling.

"Eric is watching me."

"What? As like... the leader of Dauntless? That's stupid."

"I was too late this morning and he wanted to punish me so I had to run non stop."

His smile dropped and he let go of my shirt.

"I've been doing it since we were done training."

"But that's 2 hours ago!"

"And now you've-"

A shock went through my body. I once had that before. I was little and doing a test on electricity. Back then I got a little shock. This was WAY worse. My whole body felt like it was on fire and my muscles didn't respond anymore.

I heard Mason say something but I was too focused on getting that bracelet off. HE LIED. THAT SON OF A BITCH LIED. IT ISN'T A TRACER! IT IS USED TO ELECTROCUTE SOMEONE. I closed my eyes trying to block out the pain but it didn't work. My legs gave out underneath me. My knees scraped the ground and but that was the last thing on my mind. It felt like an eternity and I'm quite sure that I screamed at one point. My muscles weren't responding so I couldn't take the bracelet off. People around us stared at me, not knowing how to deal with electrocution. After some time everything went black.
