After some more training with Mike, I spend the rest of the day exploring Dauntless. I even managed to find my way back to Eric's office! After grabbing something to eat I decided to train some more for myself since I didn't wanted to run into the others.

So how do you effectively avoid Isa? Go to the training room.

The clock read 11:27 PM. Time to head back. I was proud of myself for going to bed early. Well, early for me anyway. Back in school I used to overhear people talking about staying up late, when they were actually talking about going to bed at eleven. My definition of late was more like two to three AM.

Sometimes five AM...

When I walked through the doors of the dormitory, it was already dark. It didn't mattered anyway; I loved the dark. As a kid I used to be scared of it but when I got older I saw that it had a certain peace and tranquility, something that I could definitely enjoy.

I easily walked over to my bed, getting some clothes and went to the bathroom. When I opened the door, the light blinded me. I blinked a few times and saw Liz staring at me.

"Hey" she said with a guilty look. She was just done with brushing her teeth.

"Hi." I replied casually and walked to the sink to put my clothes away.

"You're not mad?"

"About?"

"Me- us walking out on you?"

I shrugged. "I offered a choice and you guys chose."

She looked at me in disbelieve. "You're really not mad at all?"

"No."

"Well, I'm sorry for walking out on your lessons and I'm not even sure if it was the smartest choice to make."

I really shouldn't take her back. I really shouldn't. I'm not gonna. No. She made her choice. No turning back.

"I'll help you."

Dammit Rogue!

She smiled the biggest smile I've ever seen. "But! Only because I really think you could make it into Dauntless."

She made a weird high pitched noise from happiness and hugged me. I stiffened up. Last time I got hugged like that was with my sister. I tried to block the thoughts of my sister out of my head but images kept flashing back.

"Sorry, that was a bit much wasn't it?" Liz said with an apologetic grin.

"Ughum... Yeah..."

"Oh god I made it awkward. Sorry normally I only hug my friends like that... Not that you're not my friend! Oh god I made it worse..." Liz stumbled.

"It's just been a while since someone hugged me like that." I said. "Well anyway. I'm going in the shower and unless you really want to see me naked I suggest that you leave." Liz blushed and quickly left.

After the shower I treated my injuries and went to bed. Unlike the other nights I couldn't sleep right away. I can always sleep. Don't be stupid now. Okay how did you do it the first time? When I was little I had trouble sleeping so, being the Erudite I was back then, I went to the library. I found an old book there. It had a few sleeping tricks written inside of it and for three weeks straight I tried all of them until I found the one that worked for me. It used to be hard to do but after two weeks I could fall asleep within five minutes. It was like yoga.

Move in your bed until you're comfortable. Check. Focus on not having any tension on any muscle. Check.Focus on your breathing and heartbeat. Make it go down. This trick always worked. It was freaky in the beginning though; you could literally feel yourself falling asleep. Like you were pulled into the darkness but it was peaceful there. Now let's do it again.
