"He did what?" Isa said with her mouth open.
I motioned the rest to sit on the bed next to Isa. I don't want to explain it but I guess I have to if I want them to trust me.
"First of all, what I'm gonna tell you is something you should keep to yourself. Not a lot is known about me and I like to keep it that way." They looked at me a little bit puzzled but didn't question it.
"Yesterday when the training ended I had to go to Eric, you know that right?" They nodded. "He gave me a bracelet with, what he said was a 'tracer', and I had to run around Dauntless. I wasn't allowed to stop. After about two hou-"
"You ran for two hours?!" Mike said shocked.
"Yes, now after two hours someone I knew saw me. He decided it would be funny to catch me. I tried to run away but he was faster. I explained that I had to keep running but it was too late. A handful of Dauntless members and a few initiates saw me get electrocuted. I ended up having to go to the hospital."
"You've been here before?" Liz said.
"Yeah, but I meant the hóspital-hospital."
They were all quiet until Isa muttered "Eric kicked you in the hospital on the first day..."
"I asked him why he electrocuted me but he got mad and asked if I was questioning his authority."
"Jesus Rogue! Do you have a death wish?" Mike said desperately. I shrugged.
Liz was staring at my wrist. "So is it healing?" I nodded. Isa finally got what she was talking about and stared at my wrist in disgust. "Oh god" she said while turning a bit pale.
My wrist wasn't that bad right? I mean it was still a wound so it was all red and I guess a bit gross looking but not something you would throw up over. "Can I have that back?" I asked pointing at my bracelet.
Mike nodded and threw it at me. Isa was clearly relieved that she didn't had to look at it anymore.
"So... questions?" I asked dryly.
"Why don't you want people to know?" Liz asked.
How should I answer that. I mean I get it but they might not.
"Because, it is safer."
Confusion was written all over their faces. Okay so maybe that wasn't the best explanation.
"When... when you have a friend, you tell them everything right?" Isa and Liz nodded. "So they know your weaknesses right?" This time they nodded a bit slower.
"I don't want people to know my weaknesses."
"But how does Eric come into all this? I mean he's not your weakness right?" Mike asked.
"No he's not my weakness. But first of all, he díd put me in a hospital. And second of all now that you know this you also know that something is going on between Eric and me."
Isa's eyebrows shot up "I knew it! I told you guys!"
"Shut up not like that." Isa looked at me like she was a little shocked and scared of me. I sighed. She really is hopeless isn't she? All she thinks about is gossip. Then again that must have been easy coming from Candor. Everything is gossiping there, but then about the truth.
Suddenly I saw a movement from Daniel. The others didn't notice. I need to help them. They're defenseless.
"Rogue what did you see?" Liz asked.
"Daniel moved."
Suddenly they were all staring at him. Daniel's eyes fluttered open and he groaned. The others gasped and got closer. They were immediately talking to and about him, inspecting him as they went on. I sat back on the bed. I should get my ribs looked at again. I mean since last time I've been slammed by Mason and 'attacked' by Mike and Liz. I looked around to find a nurse but they were all busy on the other end of the med bay with the Dauntless born initiates. I looked around the room to find some sort of medical cabinet. I was Erudite, I should know this. I think I remembered something from the medical books back at home. I was always way better at the exact subjects than things like English anyway.
