Several Hours Earlier
Song: War With My Mind by Crimson Apple
Yoongi had a frown as he scanned through the first attachment of the anonymous email. He wasn't sure but it appeared to be some kind of police report. His comprehension of written English was middling but he knew enough to tell that the document was detailing how Sabrina had filed a complaint against someone named Hunter. Under the Reason for Complaint section, she had alleged ongoing assault and domestic abuse.
Wait. Sabrina had been abused? Why didn't she tell him?
Confusion warred with anger as he reached the end of the document. One line in particular gave him pause and he had to run it through an online translator to make sure he understood it right.
Charges dropped against the alleged due to falsification of facts by complainant
The charges were dropped because Sabrina had lied? That didn't seem like her...
He clicked the next attachment and a video popped up. He pressed play and watched with growing incredulity as images of himself and Sabrina came onto the screen. It was a video of her sucking him off. But how could anyone have this? How the fuck was it even filmed? He scrutinized the location and slowly realized that it came from somewhere in his room.
Did she film this?
With a sinking feeling, he realized that she had only done that with him once in his room. The position of the camera also looked like it came from the exact spot where she had set her laptop on the nightstand.
He clicked out of the video, feeling disgusted and betrayed. Why the hell did she even have that?
The last attachment sent him reeling. It was a recording between two men. He listened closely, trying to hear if their voices were familiar.
"So you're telling me that Ms. Randall plans to blackmail Yoongi and BigHit? Where is your proof?"
That sounded kind of like Mr. Cha, Yoongi thought.
"I have documents to prove that she tried to do the same to me but she was found out and fled the country. She's lying to everyone. Trust me, your guy is in deep trouble," the other voice said.
"They're soulmates. You can't fake something like that."
"Maybe not but she is using the situation to exploit you guys. Look, she is an empath, so she can sense the emotions of people around her. I'd bet money that their soul bond can allow her to manipulate his emotions, making him more vulnerable to her."
"Hmm. I see. Send me all of your documentation immediately, and I will look into it."
"Don't wait too long. See, she might have set out to hurt me, but I still love her and she realized that she still loves me, too. She saw the error of her ways and wants to come back to me but her soul bond is holding her back. She's been texting me for weeks now, begging me to help her."
The recording abruptly cut off, leaving Yoongi blinking at the screen.
There was no way that was true. She couldn't. She wouldn't. Right?
He got up from his bed and walked out into the hallway, pausing to make sure that Sabrina was still in the shower. After hearing the sounds of the spray, he went into the kitchen to find her phone. She liked to plug it in next to the coffee maker so she wouldn't forget it.
His heart beat faster as he picked it up and unlocked it. It wasn't hard to get into her phone. He had seen her entering her pass code several times and it stuck in his mind. Navigating to her texts, he clicked on the ones that came from an unknown number. Again, he had to run some of the messages through a translator but he slowly got the gist of them.
