The next few months passed quickly. Yoongi and I spent every spare moment together, getting to know one another all over again. I told him every single sordid detail about my past and all of my hopes for our future. And he did the same for me, even when the words didn't want to come out.
Despite all of the difficulties, we weren't taking our lives for granted anymore. I found a warm, contentment in him that I had never felt before. He was my home. And even though I still had nightmares from time to time, and he still had a haunted look about him sometimes, we were finally, truly happy.
We also decided to take a few weeks off to recover and just be with one another in our newfound peace. He took me to a private resort on Jeju Island where we laid around, ate great food, and made love constantly.
He even indulged me and went to the beach to crab hunt with me in the mornings. He would shake his head at me and grumble that I was just like Joon-ah, but he always helped me find the cutest crabs.

But my favorite thing to do was walk along the beach at night hand in hand with him. We didn't need to speak to enjoy each other's company. All I needed was him.
We had such a relaxing time in Jeju that we decided to extend our trip and invite the rest of the members, their girlfriends, and Lyle and Ren to come out.
Jimin and JK had been especially anxious about us being so far from them. They had been class five clingers ever since I was released from the hospital. If I had to leave the apartment without Yoongi, one of them would "conveniently" show up to escort me around town.
They would also invite themselves over constantly and try to squeeze into bed with Yoongi and I. Yoongi for his part had the patience of a saint. He relented, letting them suffocate us for the first week or so before he banned them from our bedroom. I thought their little hearts were going to break in two when Yoongi told them they needed to give us a bit more space. I felt so bad for them that I promised to video call them all the time and let them know if I needed to run any errands.
They backed off a bit, but they always found excuses to come visit. I wasn't complaining too much though--JK loved to cook for me and I loved being pampered. Between JK and/or Yoongi cooking for me while Jimin and I did face masks on the couch, I felt like a spoiled princess.
When they all arrived in Jeju, we gathered together at the rental and had a giant cookout. The cool fall air was refreshing as we hung around the campfire that Jin and JK had built and just roasted marshmallows. Jimin and Joon had eagerly agreed to go with me to hunt crabs and we had the best time looking around the little tide pools together while everyone else hung around the fire.
