Bruh. I was crying by the end of this. It's so sad. If I tagged you, it's because I thought of you guys while writing this.

Warning: MAJOR SPOILERS FOR TEARS OF THE KINGDOM!!!!

Link dealt the final blow to Phantom Tech. He watched as the Phantom disappeared in an explosion of malice. He watched as a blinding light erupted in his vision.

When the light faded, he saw that he was in some sort of void, like with the other Sages. Link looked around and saw a figure with his back to him.

"I've been waiting for you," a voice that sounded like Tech's. "You took your time."

He turned around, his little shoulder cape swaying in the non-existent wind. He tapped his bare foot on the ground as he crossed his arms around his chest.

"You've been...waiting...for me?" Link asked.

"Yes. For thousands of years, I have been waiting," Tech said. "I am so sorry the Demon King created a Phantom of me. It delayed our meeting."

Link swayed silently on his feet. He knew the tale of the Imprisoning War, and how it took Rauru, Sonia, Mineru and Tech's lives, along with countless others. Mineru never explained what happened to Tech. She only said that Zelda explained her plans to Tech and that he died before Mineru did.

"I am sure that you have heard the tale of the Imprisoning War countless times, so allow me to spare you the whole tale and let me tell you the tale of not only what happened to me during the war, but also in the events leading up to it," Tech said.

"When I sacrificed myself, I fell, plunging to my death. I somehow ended up in the same era that Zelda did. I gained a magical secret stone, and I met King Rauru and Queen Sonia. To avoid suspicion, Zelda and I pretended to be married. Rauru offered to help me with my abilities..."

"You know how to use your abilities, now, you just have to learn to use your stone," Rauru said, walking down the corridor of the castle. "And I will be more than happy to help you."

"Thank you, King Rauru," Tech said. "I am sure with your help, I will be able to unlock these powers."

"Like Zelda, I grew close to both Monarch, but I grew closer to Rauru, rather than Sonia."

"I feel as though I can talk to you about anything, and your always willing to listen," Tech said, leaning against the banister of the Castle balcony.

"And I am always happy to hear what you have to say," Rauru said. "You and Zelda and two of the most extraordinary, and, if I'm honest, confusing people I have ever met."

"That's us," Tech said, winking.

"It was peaceful, but as you know, peace never lasts..."

Link nodded, intrigued in the tale he was being told.
