This is a Spirit Tracks/Wind Waker One-Shot
Lightning flashed across the sky as thunder claps followed 3 seconds later. Princess Storm watched as the rain fell on the palace windows. Her parents, Link and Zelda, had left to visit her auntie Aryll, who was having a baby soon. Aryll lived in the Great Sea, miles away from Hyrule.
Storm was an only child, as soon after she was born, her mother had an accident which resulted in her being unable to create another child. Storm was only 8, but she was still quite smart.
It was a week before Halloween, which was when decorations started being put up, ghost stories started being told. Storm smiled. Her father was the best at telling ghost stories...in her eyes at least and on the night of Halloween, he'd tell her her favourite: The Tale of the Ghost Ship. That story never grew old, because he'd change it slightly every year and what's better is that her father has been there before!
He'd say it's dark and dangerous and anyone who tried to approach it either couldn't get in because it disappeared, or went missing, never to be seen again. He said it was eerie and spooky and occasionally, you'd hear screams! He also said that the ship only appeared at night on one of seven islands in the Great Sea. You can tell which island by looking at the moon phase and it never ever goes close to an inhabited island such as Outset, where Storm's auntie Aryll lived.
Storm's father had said that it was a 3 day trip and him and her mother stay at Outset for 2 days and then sail home, which would take another 3 days. That's 8 days in total, but it has been 14 days since their departure. Storm was getting worried. Had the Ghost Ship gotten her parents?!
Storm shuddered as she pulled her cloak around her further. She was about to leave the window when she saw it.
As the lightning lit up the sea for a split second, Storm saw a silhouette of a giant ship that had a torn sail. Storm gasped. What was it doing here?
Then, it vanished. Storm hurried off, never looking at the window again.

Link woke to the cold water beneath him. He slowly sat up to find his wife, Zelda (who was disguised as Tetra) slowly waking up. Link's head pounded from being harshly knocked unconscious. He touched the spot that was hit and winced. He felt dried blood stuck in his hair. He then became aware of the very tight shackles around his wrists. Pain followed a heartbeat later.
As his vision cleared and the pounding in his ears cleared, he took in his surroundings. They were in a ship with eerie purple glowing liquid on the floor.
Oh, no.
They were in the Ghost Ship.
"Is that toxic?" Tetra asked.
