TW: Violence, Gore, Torture & Death
Zelda sat bored in her throne. Nothing was too interesting anymore. Though her day got very interesting when Tech walked in. She stood up and took in his appearance.
He looked pretty much the same, only his goggles were red, not yellow. Tech walked towards her, uncharacteristically silent. If she had been in her right mind, she would've thought something off.
"Tech?" She asked as she walked up to him.
"Zelda," Tech said, his voice deeper than usual.
Zelda did take note of how it was strange she couldn't feel the connection between them, but she brushed it off. Instead she asked, "what are you doing here?"
"I thought it was obvious. I came to see you," Tech said.
"Tech, you've been missing for almost a year..." Zelda said. "But I'm glad you're safe."
She hugged him and when they parted, Tech smirked. Zelda finally realised something wasn't right, but it was too late.
Tech brought the dagger that he had been holding behind his back into view and stabbed Zelda in the stomach.
Zelda gasped and made a strangled sound as she felt pain blossom in her abdomen. She put a hand to where the dagger was and it came back stained with blood. Her blood.
She slid to the floor, her legs refusing to keep her up any longer. "You're not Tech," she said, blood beginning to dribble down her chin.
Not-Tech turned and said, "no. I'm not. The name is Garry."
With that he stepped over her dying body and left. Zelda was left alone, bleeding out, her blood staining the already red carpet. She screamed as loud as she could, not from pain (well, not entirely), but to get attention. No sooner than two minutes later, Link's blue eyes and pale-ish face came into her darkening vision. His worry-filled eyes were the last thing she saw before she slipped into unconsciousness.

Echo, Rex and Crosshair kicked open door after door, but there was no sign of Tech. They were at an abandoned Republic Research Facility, where their contacts had told them Tech was. His cell was empty, bloodied chains were the only evidence he had been here. Recently.
They kicked open one last door, about to give up, when they saw it. A single light illuminated a bed in the middle of the room. The trio moved in further, curious and hopeful.
They soon wished they hadn't investigated. The good news was they had found Tech, but the bad news was that he was dead. Tears brimmed in Crosshair'a eyes as he took in his twin's appearance. Tech's eyes were closed and he laid on his side. One arm was cuffed and the other hung limply off the bed. Tech's skin was so pale and blood coated areas of him. A blanket covered him for modesty, which was stained with blood in various places.
Rex scanned Tech's body and gasped. He had no organs or bodily fluids inside of him. The Empire had taken all of that out. Logics told him Tech died during the operation. Though the thought of Tech being conscious and aware while they drained his bodily fluids and cut him open made him sick. The fact they even did it made him sick...and then they just left him here...
"They must've known he was magical," Crosshair said. "They experimented on him."
"We must give him a proper burial," Rex said.
Crosshair nodded, pulling the blanket fully over Tech's body, un-cuffing his wrist and placing his other arm on the bed.
"Let's go," Rex said.

Zelda awoke with a start. She was in no pain.
'Mipha' she thought, looking down at herself.
There was no evidence she had even been stabbed on her tummy. Now she had to go face Garry. It was what she needed to do.
———
Getting to the Caste was easy, getting in? Meh...but fighting Garry? That would be hard. Very hard.
She found Garry sitting in the throne. Her throne.
"Get out of my throne!" She yelled.
"Didn't I kill you?" Garry asked. "And no, this is my throne now. The Empire will come when I call them."
"You will not," Zelda said. "Link and I will stop you!"
Garry stood up as Link came to stand beside Zelda. Zelda summoned her bow and Link drew his sword. They attacked Garry, each exchanging blows until finally, he was on his knees. Zelda had a clear shot, but she hesitated. This guy reminded her of Tech so much. She desperately wanted to know where he was.
"Where is Tech?!" Zelda asked.
"He's dead," Garry said. "They experimented on him once they discovered his magic. Took all his bodily fluids and organs out of him."
Zelda gritted her teeth. "Liar."
"I'm not lying...because...I was the one who assisted in the operation. I remember him crying and screaming as we cut into him and practically dissected him while he was awake. I remember holding his heart in my bloodied hands. I remember the long beep the heart monitor did when he finally died. He was resilient...that's for sure," Garry said.
Zelda felt sick. She felt so sick. She knew this guy deserved to die, but she couldn't do it. She couldn't release the arrow. Heck, this guy had STABBED her, left her for dead, impersonated her friend, KILLED her friend. "No. I can't do it."
Link saw her weakness and did the job for her. He stabbed Garry through the chest. He died and Zelda felt relief. She hadn't killed someone and the Empire can't take over Hyrule.
Her relief was cut short when Rex and Crosshair came in, Echo coming in shortly after, pushing a bed with him. Zelda already knew who laid underneath the blanked. Tech. Her knees buckled and she fell to the floor, tears rolling down her cheeks.
Her heart fell. She knew for one thing...the Empire was a monster.
Welp. Sorry. Happy one next time! Hopefully! Baiii!
