CHAPTER THREE

THE original plan was, after Rashid gave her the money, she would leave him and go back to Pampanga. She would continue with her life and forget about him. Simple as that.

But Valeska couldn't just escape with Rashid around. The next morning, he woke up first before her. He was fresh from shower when she caught him preparing breakfast on his dining area.

Even though she's still very sore, she needs to get up and face the problems of her reality.

What happened between them last night was like her escape. It was wild, steamy and once in a lifetime moment. Kahit na sabihin pa niyang kakalimutan niya ang namagitan sa kanilang dalawa, alam niyang mahihirapan siyang gawin 'yon. But she's hoping that she would forget eventually.

Rashid wasn't gentle. He fucked her the way he probably fucked his women. It didn't happen once. It happened like thrice. The last round was this early morning. Kaya naman naging mahimbing ang tulog niya dahil pagod siya.

"Morning," she greeted first.

He glanced at her, before he sips on his black coffee.

"Eat," he motioned her the chair in front of him.

His condo unit is huge compared to normal size. It wasn't a penthouse type but it has at least three to for doors room in different area.

Before she takes the chair, she saw the cheques above the island counter near her.

He's really gonna pay her for spending a night with him. It only showed that he's true to his words. He won't break the deal.

Valeska ignored the bitter feeling inside her chest with the fact that she was like Rashid's whore. He pays her for a one night sex. After that, he would forget her. And she must do the same!

She started eating casually. She doesn't have any topic for them to talk about. Kung mayroon man siyang gustong pag-usapan, iyon ay ang cheque na nakita niya.

Her ninang Daria texted her last night. He can't contact Welina. Sa text message palang nito, alam niyang nanggagagalaiti sa galit. Hindi niya pa ipinapaalam dito na makakakuha siya ng mahalagang pera.

If there's a person that she can trust, it's her ninang Daria. Mas pinagkakatiwalaan niya pa ito kaysa sa sarili niyang ina.

"I prepared a blank cheques for you. Write down any amount you need."

"Any amount?"

"What happened last night was priceless for me. I don't know to you."

Napasimsim siya ng wala sa oras dahil sa sinabi ng kaharap.

His stoic face in the morning is noticeable than when it's dark.

His clean slick back military fades haircut made him looked honorable but also dangerous. His aura is very intimidating. The reason why she was asking herself; how did she manage to spend a night with him? When he doesn't look inviting and approachable. He's the kind of man she would ignore or avoid when she saw him in a different situation.

His olive complexion is very Mediterranean. She's not fond with a man having a white or lighter skin color though. It attracted her most when they are brown, tanned or even darker shades. So, yes, she admitted, she's attracted with Rashid's coloring. It complimented her fair warm skin tone.

Kahit ang mga ugat nito sa braso pababa sa likod ng palad ay nagbibigay sa kanya ng damdamin na hindi niya naman naramdaman sa iba niyang naging ka-relasyon.

Bagamat, tila delikado o marahas ang pisikal na anyo ng lalaki sa harap niya, wala naman takot sa dibdib niya. Instead, despite of being strangers to each other, he didn't have idea that he made her feel like she's protected and safe with him.
