CHAPTER FIVE
WHEN Valeska opened her eyes, Rashid's handsome face welcomed her. Dahil sa sama ng loob, itinulak niya ang mukha nito. Mabigat ang dibdib niya sa huling scenario na nasaksihan niya.
"What the-" then he let out an amusing short laugh.
"You!"
He distance himself a bit. Itinaas ang dalawang kamay na para bang hindi lalaban sa kanya.
"You were growling. I had to wake you up-"
"Where were you?!"
"Oh, I cooked breakfast for you. Did you forget what I told?"
"You were with Olga! You were fucking her!"
His eyes widened in fraction. Then, a bark of laughter filled the room. He's astounded that he found her ridiculous.
"Was that your dream? What a nightmare, huh."
Mariin siyang pumikit at sinikap na alalahanin kung totoo ba ang nakita niya o panaginip lang talaga. But it felt so real. The moans almost echoed her ears. The images of them were so clear.
"Where is she?!"
"She left early."
"Y-you two were not in a relationship?"
Rashid's lips twisted in a smug way. Then he goes back from sitting at the space beside her.
"I don't do relationships."
"Fuck buddy?"
He rubs his thick eyebrow with his finger. Tila ba hindi nito alam kung matatawa o makakaramdam ng disgusto.
"No."
"Nothing is special between you and Olga?"
He lazily shook his head.
Matagal pa ang titigan nila bago siya nag iwas ng tingin.
"Are we clear now?" He made sure if they were.
"Maybe it was just a dream. Hmm."
"Yeah, it was a bad dream. A nightmare."
Tumango siya at naniwala na pangit na panaginip lang pala 'yong nasaksihan niya. Kahit na parang totoo talaga.
Valeska had to inform her professors about her absences. Mabuti nalang at hindi naman masyado importante ang mga huling activities dahil na rin halos patapos na ang klase at nalalapit na ang graduation.
The things that worries her were her mother and Rodolfo. How can she go back home and deal with them, if they treated her badly?
At saan naman siya makikituloy kung pipiliin niyang huwag umuwi sa kanila? Hindi pwede sa niang Daria niya dahil madali lang siyang mahahanap ng ina.
Those were the things that clouded her mind and kept her awake. While Rashid is on the balcony--in front of his Macbook, Valeska can't stop her mind from thinking.
Napilitan siyang bumangon dahil hindi niya na maatim ang gumugulo sa isip niya. Rashid needs to go back to Manila tomorrow and that was like a nightmare for her because she would be back home too.
She caught his attention right away. Tahimik siyang naupo sa katabing upuan nito. Pareho niya, nakikita niya rin kung ano ang nasa screen ng Macbook.
It was a moving rifles with description. It looked like he's watching a launching of a new firearm.
He turned off his Macbook, then glanced at her.
"Aren't you sleepy?"
Valeska sighed dramatically.
