CHAPTER THIRTY EIGHT
BUMAGABAG sa kanya ang sinabi ng kaibigang si Ivanka tungkol kay Rashid. Hindi man mapatunayan pa na baka may nangyaring masama nga sa kasintahan, mahirap pa rin iwasan na huwag siyang mag-alala. Lalo pa at iyon ang unang beses na hindi nagparamdam sa kanya ang binata.
The night after her mother's last farewell, Valeska and her friends travelled to Paraiso de Solandis. Bago 'yon ay binilin niya sa kanyang ninang Daria na ito muna ang tumingin sa bahay nila at nag offer din siya na pwede itong tumira roon. Dahil hindi na naman siya babalık sa Pampanga. Pagkatapos ng lahat ng ito, sa Maynila na siya mananatili kasama si Rashid.

Salit-salitan sa pagmamaneho sina Ivanka at Freja. Hindi siya makahawak sa manibela dahil wala siyang lisenya kahit pa marunong na siyang mag drive. Doon na rin nila kikitain si Rivka.
Sa bawat oras na dumaan, gumagaan ang pakiramdam niya tuwing magsesend ng voice message is Zerena o kaya ay magsesend ito ng picture nito sa kanya. Some are her selfies, then her toys and whatever she's doing in Highlands.
After a long hours of traveling, they finally arrived at the place where still familiar to her.
The wooden arch is decorated by different kind and colors of flowers. Above it is the wood carve of the name of the place which is, Paraíso de Solandis.

"My girls, finally, are here!" Visha welcomed them with open arms.
Sabay-sabay silang yumakap sa babaeng minsan na nilang itinuring na kakampi, ka-agapay, at magulang.
To be in Paraíso de Solandis after a long years was like a deja vu. And in that swift moment, while looking up at the white house in front of her, everything from her past flashes her mind like an endless waves kissing the shore.

"Where can I see you again?"
"I have no idea, Leigh."
"Why?"
He gave her a very small smile. "I'm going abroad."
Her eyes widened. A bit excited for him.
"Abroad? For what? Are you gonna work there? Travel?"
Umiling lang ang lalaki sa harap niya na itinuring niya nang kapatid kahit hindi sila magkadugo. Gano'n yata siguro kapag kulang sa pagmamahal na gaya niya. Hahanapin niya sa iba ang hindi maibigay ng tunay na pamilya.
"Alam kong mahirap sayo na maging masaya rito. But I'm hoping Leigh, I hope that you will be healed here."
"I got new friends here. There is Freja and Ivanka."
"That's good for you-"
"And oh, I discovered that I can paint, kuya," mabilis niyang hinanap sa lamesa sa likod nila ang painting na personal niyang ginawa para rito. "I made this only for you."
He looked amused as he received the square canvas.
"A waves, huh. This is cool. Thank you."
