CHAPTER FOURTEEN
VALESKA couldn't stop the smile on her lips. Kahit na mag-isa lang siya, para siyang lumulutang sa ulap sa tuwing naiisip na may malinaw na silang pag-uusap ni Rashid tungkol sa kanilang relasyon.
Sa totoo lang, hindi niya inaasahan na ang binata pa mismo ang maghahangad ng label dahil wala sa itsura nito ang pumasok sa isang klaseng relasyon na pwedeng humantong sa pagmamahalan.

Freja let out a breath which told her that her friend wasn't ready to answer her question, but she had no choice.
"I'm with the man I was talking about last time."
"Here I thought... that you don't like him?"
"I need to be with him for a business meeting."
Valeska arched her eyebrow.
"So, you're working with him?"
"Not yet, but I have plan to work on their company."
"Okay. I got it. Pero, ayos lang ba sayo na bumalik ka dito sa Manila?"
Freja paused for a moment.
"Ayos lang naman. Saglit lang naman kami diyan. Mas tatagal kami sa Pampanga. Kaya lang wala ka naman na do'n."
"Let's catch up nalang here in Manila. Did you call Ivanka 'bout this?"
"She will call me later. She's out of town kasi when I texted her last night."
"And Rivka couldn't come?"
"I think she's with Thiago. Alam mo naman 'yon, hindi nakakaalis kapag kasama ang boyfriend niya. Nagkukulong lang yata sila sa kwarto," sabay tawa nito kaya natawa rin siya.
"Sa susunod, ikaw na ang magkukulong sa room kasama 'yang magiging boss mo."
Freja snorted. "I am trying my best not to be marupok pero mahirap."
They both laughed. Hindi siya sigurado kung nagbibiro ang kaibigan o may halong totoo na nahihirapan nga itong hindi madala sa anomang tukso.
"Isa pa, business trip naman ang gagawin namin. So, I think, I'll be fine being with him again."
"And you would stay with him?"
"I told him to book me a hotel room. Hindi pwedeng magsasama ulit kami sa isang kwarto."
"Woah! Did you sleep with him?"
"Yes."
"Are you still a virgin?"
"You guess," Freja teased with a laugh.
"I'll know if I see you with him."
"Bakit?"
"It's girl's instinct, I think. Like, Ivanka, when she saw me with Rashid, she immediately assumed that we were fucking-"
"Valeska, your mouth nga."
"You sounded like a virgin, Freja."
Nagtuksuhan pa silang magkaibigan bago tinapos ang usapan.
Valeska continued her paper works while she's still have time. Nag plano kasi sila ni Rashid na sa labas nalang kakain ngayong gabi. Hihintayin niya itong makauwi galing trabaho, mag-a-asikaso, bago umalis.
