CHAPTER TWENTY ONE
PAKIRAMDAM niya ay nawala ang nakasiksik na bigat sa dibdib niya nang tuluyang maibahagi kay Rashid ang madilim na pangyayari sa buhay niya ilang taon na ang nakakalipas.
She felt lighter than ever. Because she finally made herself bare in front of him. The first time she told him about how she got to Paraíso de Solandis was just some cut parts of what really happened.
Now that she was able to shared him how she was treated badly inside their own house--by her own mother, her live-in partner and those evil guys. Valeska can now tell to herself that she really really trust Rashid so much and she will never hide anything from him from now on.
Her lips were trembling together with her fingers while looking back to her past. Akala niya, siya lang ang nakakaramdam ng gano'n. But she was wrong.
Beside her, while their fingers remained intertwined. She can feel how Rashid controlled himself to stay calmed and composed.
She looked up on him and watched him how he expertly took a deep breath as a way to keep his cool. His adam's apple moved when he swallowed hard. The way he locked their fingers together seemed like he was reminding himself that he have her... he needs her to stay sane.
Hinarap niya ito. Gamit ang isang palad, hinaplos niya ang panga nitong tahimik na umiigting.
"I have moved on. You have nothing to worry. I am... healed."
Rashid heaved another deep sigh for the ninth times already.
"I told you the details because I can't keep them anymore from you. I have buried those memories long time ago. I am just relieved now that... you already know what happened to me before I got to Solandis."
He didn't say anything. He just gently pulled her closer to him and embraced her.
Napangiti siya at niyakap din ito pabalik. Malakas ang pintig ng puso niya sa mga sandaling 'yon. Naghahalo ang tila saya at lungkot sa dahilan na hindi niya mawari.
"I'm gonna make sure those fuckers will be in hell," he whispered coldly.
Valeska bite her lips nervously.
She never seen this side of him; lethal and dangerous.
Bahagya siyang lumayo rito at sinakop ang umiigting na panga gamit ang malambot niyang palad.
His eyes behind the masquerade were pitch-black, cold and murderous.
"Baby..." suyo niya rito upang kumalma rin kahit papano.
He only shook his head. It looked like he would really find those devils and throw all of them in hell.
Hinalikan nito ang ibabaw ng ulo niya.
"You don't need to tell me everything, but I appreciate your bravery so much for revealing yourself to me."
"Because I trust you."
His chest waved for another deep breath.
There are no other words from them. Nagtitigan lang sila na para bang kahit na walang salitang lumabas sa kanilang bibig, naiintindihan pa rin nila ang isa't-isa.
"Let's continue with my painting," she urged him with a smile and faced the canvas.
Standing behind her is Rashid. He wrapped his arms around her.
Valeska ignored the other guests who might watching them being that physically close. She doesn't even care if they catch attention. As long as their action wasn't scandalous, she has nothing to worry.
