CHAPTER FORTY THREE
THE majestic view of Taal lake, the cold breeze, the green surrounding, and the light blue skies, everything that she sees seemed perfect to her eyes. Including the man who's holding her hand while sincerely saying his wedding vow.
"When you told me that I am your unpredictable hope that opened your eyes to continue a new chapter of your life bravely despite of its darkness, I then realized that you are also the only hope that I didn't know I was waiting for to come to my life. You are my hope that taught me how to love even you, yourself didn't know what real love was. You taught me the importance of life when you decided to spend it with me," there's a sly smile on his lips as he stared lovingly at her.
Valeska's heartbeat is booming inside her chest and it won't stop. Wala siyang ibang maramdaman kundi kasiyahan lamang habang pinagmamasdan ang lalaking pinakamamahal.
He's dashing with his beige suite and dark brown necktie. He's in military clean cut that only defined the structure of his face. He's very, very, good looking but intimidated man.
"May mga oras man na hindi ka pinahalagahan ng buhay na ito, gusto kong ipangako sayo na simula ngayon, hinding-hindi mo na mararanasan ang matakot at masaktan. You will never be alone anymore because you have all me—who will always by your side in spite of all the difficulties, baby."
Ang mga bisita na naroon ay binigyan sila ng magaan na palakpakan. Some of her friends where giggling and Rashid's friends were teasing him.
When the priest announced that he can now kiss the bride, the crowd gets lively and she can really hear her friends, who are all happy that she finally get married.
She bite her lower lips when she saw the smug smirk on his lips. Talagang tila ipinagkakanladakan nito na kasal na sila. Na mag asawa na sila. Na hindi na siya makakawala pa mula rito. At wala naman siyang balak kumawala.
Rashid angled his head to kiss her thoroughly and passionately.
Ipinikit niya ang mga mata upang damhin ang napakatamis na halik sa simula... hanggang sa medyo tumagal 'yon ng ilang sandali dahil hindi niya rin nakayanan na pigilan pa ang sarili. Sa pamamagitan ng halik, ay ipinadama niya rin sa asawa kung gaano niya ito kamahal.
"Grabe ang tagal ng halikan," she heard Ivanka's voice, making some guests laugh. "Kainggit!"
"I love you so much, my wife." Rashid whispered gently against her lips.
Maliit siyang ngumiti. Pakiramdam niya ay may sarili silang mundo at tila guni-guni nalang ang mga tao sa paligid.
"My husband," she murmured and her cheek heated.
Nakita niya ang pag angat ng mga kilay nito sa naaaliw na paraan. Alam niyang halata sa kanya ang biglang pamumula.
Sino ba ang mag aakala na magiging asawa niya ang lalaking sinayawan niya lang?
Life really has its own way of doing things on its own. Unpredictable and some times, miserable.
Ang lahat nang paghihirap, luha, sakit at pighati na naranasan niya, pakiramdam niya ay lahat ng 'yon ay napawi na. Napawi ng tunay na pagmamahal. Napawi ng walang sawang pakikipaglaban sa dilim. Napawi ang lahat dahil hindi niya pinili ang sumuko. Pinili niya ang magpatuloy sa buhay kahit gaano pa ka-hirap ang hamon na ibinigay n'yon sa kanya.
The wedding reception is grand as where their wedding ceremony was held. The chandeliers and lights are like elegantly lit the whole place. The tables and chairs are in Earth colors. The flowers and other decorations are also commendable despite of having a short period of time organizing and preparing all of it.
