The Quidditch World Cup (Year 5)

I slip my shoes on and walk out to the living room of the Diggorys. I'm greeted with good mornings and hugs from my...friend, Cedric Diggory. He and his father prepare for the travel ahead as we engage in small talk. When we leave the house Cedric takes my hand and smiles at me. I smile back as we head to our meet up spot. We were going to meet up with the Weasleys and take a portkey to the Quidditch World Cup, I am so very excided.

"And here is where we will wait for them, can't image how long it'll be getting all of them ready to go plus two more!" Amos says, puting down his stuff and standing by a tree.

"Plus two?" Cedric asks.

"Oh yes, we will be in the presence of Harry Potter himself!"

"Amos we go to school with him, we see him there!" I say.

"Oh yes, but I cannot wait to shake that boys hand and see his scar!"

Amos claps his hands and looks for something in his bag. Cedric faces me and smirks.

"Follow me!"

He climbs up the tree that we were waiting at effortlessly and I slowly follow him. Once we're up there he sits on a branch and slides over giving me a place to slide next to him. We watch as the sky fills with blues and oranges as the sunrise fades away.

"Do you take all the girls up a tree?" I asked jokingly.

"Only pretty ones!" He replied.

I shove him out of respect for his poor usage of the saying, and just saying it in general as he pretends to fall.

"You about killed me Winnie!" He jokes. I laugh and he adjusts back onto the branch.

It's another 5 minutes till we here footsteps from the grass and the crackling of leaves as 8 people shimmy their way up the hill.

Amos goes and greets Arthur as the rest of his kids follow from behind him. Cedric looks at me and smiles before heading down and greeting them as well.

"It's good to see you Arthur!" Amos says, shaking his hand.

"Good to see you too Amos, and this strapping boy must be Cedric, good to meet you!" Arthur replies as Cedric lands on the ground from the tree.

Some more chit chat goes on as I slowly make me way down.

"I thought you said that there were three of you?" Ron asks, catching his breath from the long walk.

"Oh yeah, I'm sure you'll like who I've brought along, it'll be a pleasent suprise!" Cedric said, pointing to me as I landed right next to him. "Perfect timing if you ask me!" I laugh

"Winnie!" Ginny yells, running up to me and hugging me. I almost fall down as Hermione comes up to me as well.

"It's good to see you!" Ginny says, jumping up and down.

"Good to see you two too!" I say smiling.

"Ugh you didn't tell me she'd be here!" Ron joked, hugging me as well.

"I don't think we've met before!" Harry saids, "Oh but I know you!" I say, "You're Harry Potter, I've seen you around! Y'know Amos is particularly excited to meet you!" I joke, shoving him over.

He and Harry talk while I make my way over to Arthur and the twins.

"It's very good to see you dear!" Arthur says, hugging me tightly. "Good to see you too Mr. Weasley!"

As we were hugging I feel two fingers poke me on both my sides as I jolt from shock. I slap George and give him a hug while Fred laughs at us.

"Well if it isn't Benny McFartin!" Fred joked. I rested my face and scowled at him. "You're really funny y'know that!" I joked. He laughed and brought me in for a hug. "Good to see you Winnifred!"
