Winnifred Benson

Winnifred was born on the 22nd of June to Cadence Willoword and Trevor Benson. In their younger years Cadence and Trevor were in the original Order of the Phoenix, where they befriended the Longbottoms. After the tragedy of Frank and Alice Longbottom and the death of Molly's twin brothers Gideon and Fabian, the couple also befriended Molly and Arthur. The couple remained close, and always promised to stay in touch.

Cadence is a wonderful example throughout the wizard world that not all Slytherins are rotten at the core. For in her years of Hogwarts she showed compassion and leadership. Muggle-born Trevor Benson was just 17 was he spotted Cadence and fell madly in love with her. Their relationship was filled with hate and lies and they even split for a few years before rekindling after college. The two of them were enchanted by each other, and Trevor learned to accept her abilities and offered up his help to the ministry. The two of them didn't get married for a while, staying in a relationship with one another for 4 years. But after finally wedding and welcoming to the world Winnifred Benson.

When Winnifred was born the families were elated, for Molly and Arthur had Bill, Charlie, Percy and the twins already. Winnifred was a year younger than the twins, but was still fisty in her younger age. If it weren't for her red locks she wouldn't have been mistaken as one of the Weasleys, for she too had stubborn red locks and freckles that's spotted around her entire face. Molly said she was destined for one of her boys, for it would only make sense. But as she grew older the two families drifted, and the kids grew separate lives away from one another.

When Winnifred was ready to go to Hogwarts she was placed in the house of Ravenclaw, and excelled at Transfiguration and Potions, much like her mother. She had a very kind heart and still remembered the five boys she had grown up with. When she was in her 2nd year she too heard the rumors going around that the great Harry Potter was now in these walls, and she could not wait to see him. She spotted him and his friend Ron in the courtyard one day, and pieced together that Ron was one of the Weasleys. As the years progressed she rekindled her relationship with the Weasleys, and even brought the families together every summer.

When Winnifred was 5 her younger brother was born, Joseph Benson, and he was born with Metamorphmagus, inherited from their aunt, Josephine Willoword. When Winnie was 10 she took on the responsibility of caring for him, because their parents were never around. Winnifred became fiercely independent, and headstrong, not letting anyone control her or tell her what to do.

In present story she is in her 5th year at Hogwarts, soon to be joined by her younger brother in her 6th year but first, the Try Wizard Tournament, where she's befriended a certain, important boy...
