October seemed to fly by after the try-outs, me and Cho recruited the same people from last year, and a 5th and 4th year that had tried out previous years. I was pretty comfortable with the team that I made, so I think this years gonna be a good season. Me and Harry were hanging out near the lake, he was writing down some stuff while I read a book, leaning up against a tree.
"How's your team Win?" He asks.
"Oh their good, not game ready though, still needs a little work before the first game."
"Whens that?"
"November."
"Shit it's coming up fast then I thought. Is it just me or has October just flown by?"
I sat on that for a minute, "I mean, classes are as slow as ever, but yeah I guess."
"Like think about it, I feel like we just got here like a week ago."
"Harry what are you on about?" I ask.
"I don't know, but what I'm saying is prepare to be defeated."
"Our game isn't until May Harry!" I say.
"Yeah, at the point where we'll both be on top of our game. Should be exciting!"
"Not if Cho keeps playing the way she is right now."
"You still talk to Cho?" He asks.
"Oh, yeah." shit.
"You know she sold us out don't you? Along with Roger."
"Yeah but, she's Co-Captain so, I kinda have to be nice to her." I lie.
"Whatever you say. You might be the best Chaser in this school, but nothing is going to stop me from beating her to that snitch."
I shrugged, "It might not matter if you catch the snitch, because me and my Chaser will be scoring left and right!" I laughed.
"I can't wait honestly, I haven't had a really good and really competitive game in a while."
"What do you mean, the game we played at the Weasley's was pretty competitive."
"I mean, Quidditch isn't really competitive as a Seeker until the Snitch chase. I would reckon it's a lot more exciting as a Chaser."
"Well, I can never stop and take a breath if that's what you mean."
"Yeah I guess." Harry rolls on his back and looks up from the ground.
"Who's that?" he asks.
I look over my shoulder and see people watching us.
"Oh, it's just my team."
My team was watching us out the window, pretending to chat with eachother. I rolled my eyes and closed my book.
"They probably wanna know why I'm talking to the competition."
Harry laughed, "Hey Win, we're friends first you know!"
"I know! But you know how the new players get. Their egos are huge, and they feel like they're the top of the school!"
Harry laughed again, "See ya Win."
"Bye!"

I sat at the back of the class, my head resting on my hand. I tried not to doze off, but Professor Slughorn is such a boring teacher. He spends so much time talking, and less time doing the cool stuff about potions.
"Alright 7th years. Oh, I remember my 7th year of Hogwarts, what a time to be alive! Children the N. E. W. T.s are approaching faster than you think, and today we'll be going over something that will be on the test."
