I knocked on the door of a single floor house. It looked empty for the most part, but I knew who it belonged to.

"Give me a second!" He yelled.

I held Joseph in my arm, he was still shaking.

"Why did mum say that?"

"It's the truth, she doesn't want us."

He opened the door, freshly out of the shower. His hair was all matted, with his shirt off.

"Oh Winnie, hi." Oliver Wood said.

"Hi Ollie."

The last few years Oliver was at Hogwarts, the years he didn't have a creepy crush on me, we actually became friends. It was great to compete against him in Quidditch and he was the first person to see how great I was.

"So what's up?"

"Um, could you just keep Joseph here till Hogwarts starts up again? There's a bit of a problem at home, and I don't think I wanna put him back over there."

"Of course, yeah come on in."'

Oliver's house was a standard one, nothing too crazy nothing too out of the ordinary, just a nice home. Joseph sat on the couch in the living room as I talked to Oliver about what was going on at home and he told me that he's safe with him. I told him that I was going to go stay somewhere else. I hugged Joseph tightly, never wanting to let go.

"You're not gonna leave me are you?"

"Of course not, I'm just going to stay with Fred for a while and come right back. I promise."

He smiled and held up his pinky, I crossed it without hesitation and hugged him again.

"Bye Joseph."

I waved to Oliver as he was standing against the wall and walked out of his house. I snuck my wand out and apparated out of there.

I appeared in front of the joke shop. I readjusted my hair and whipped my eyes and walked in. The joke shop was full of random people and a few friends. There was a countdown in fireworks that would go off after every hour, and all the valuable stuff was locked up. But the rest of the shop was full of partyers, enjoying it. I walked up the stairs and into the apartment, when all our personal friends were.

"Hey Winnie!" Lee yelled out.

"Hi long time no see!"

I went over to Fred who was talking to Lee as he put his arm around me. He kissed my forehead and whispered in my ear,

"You're gonna have to tell me how you snuck out."

I smiled and winked at him. Throughout the party more people started to arrive, the party upstairs wasn't as loud as the downstairs one. The upstairs one was full of games and comfortable seating, while downstairs was more of a dance floor, music, and drinking type of party.

I was listening to what Fred and Lee were talking about, when I spotted Lilian with George, playing a game of beer pong with some people. I walked over to them and waved.

"Oh hey Winnie, you made it." Lilian said, red cup in hand.

"Yeah, it's a miracle honestly. Where's Danny?"'o asked.

"Oh he's downstairs."

"Ah smart, contain the beast."

She laughed and threw the ping pong ball, marking it perfectly into a cup.

"Ha! Drink up pretty boy!" She yelled at George.

He rolled his eyes and took the beer clean, chugged it in a second. I stood there, kinda uncomfortable, I felt out of place there. It felt strange. I migrated downstairs, got a drink and started loosing myself in the music. I danced with a few people from school, and kept the drinks coming. It was great I felt all the sadness escape from me, it was like what had happened the exact night was gone, never happened.
