The Yule Ball (Year 5)

The day had finally come, the Yule Ball. Me and Angelina were off the walls this morning when we had brekkie together. Me and her couldn't stop laughing and giggling all morning. When I saw Ced in the halls he would always just look at me and smile, we didn't see eachother much today but I know Cho Chang had asked Cedric to go, maybe she didn't know we were a thing, anyways it doesn't matter because finders keepers I guess!

The classes went by so slow and I could barely pay attention during them, it felt like an eternity before mid day feast. Me and Angie went into Hogsmeade and got a manicure and got our hair done. Angie's hair was done in gorgeous ringlets while mine was straightened.

When we arrived back at my dorm we put on our dresses and did our makeup. Angelina brought hers to my dorm and we kept screaming at different timeframes as the ball neared closer and closer.

The heels my mother had given me fit like a dream, a gorgeous two inch heel that strapped around my ankle. My dress was a light blue spagghetti strap with ruffles and layers that went down to my knees. My jacket was a seethrough one with puff at the bottom. My hair was in one solid braid behind my back and had blue flowers in it. My bangs that were left out were curled around my face. My makeup was simple with a pink lip and blue eyeshadow. I was wearing three bracelets that accompanied one another, with a heart necklace.

Angelina's dress went down to her ankles. It was a plum color with a v-neck. Her makeup was just normal nothing special but was still beautiful. When we were done we took some photos and waited for Fred.

Cedric couldn't pick me up at my dorm because he had to be there for the beginning so Fred picked both of us up to go down. When we arrived I was rushed away with Hermione, Cho, and Fleur's date to the top of the stairs, where we would meet up with our dates down stairs.

"Bye Winnie!" Angie said, Fred's arm interlocked with hers.

"Bye Angie, see you soon!" I replied.

Hermione looked stunning her in pink dress, fidgetting with her hair. Once she spotted me she came up to give me a hug.

"Oh my merlin you look fabulous!" Hermione said to me.

"I could say the same thing about you Mione!"

We hugged for a bit and when we released she was called down the stairs next. She looked at me and smiled and approached the stairs, walking down beautifully. I was called down after Cho, Cho walked down to Harry and she smiled at him. Harry seemed mesmerized by her beauty. And I couldn't lie, she was pretty. If I weren't Ced's girlfriend I know he would've gone with her instead. But I shoved that away as I was called down. When I turned the cornor and spotted eyes with Cedric, he turned around completely and smiled at me. He looked at me like I was the only girl in the world, and all of the thoughts of Cho Chang disappeared when I saw him. I stepped down the stairs slowly to aviod tripping, because if I did that would be the most embarrassing moment of my life.

When I reached the bottom of the staircase and walked over to Ced he smiled and pecked me on the cheek.

"Wow, you look..." He looked me up and down and couldn't keep his eyes off me.

I smiled at his tux with his blue flowers that matched the ones in my hair. "You look, so handsome!" I said, looking him up and down too.

He smiled as we interlocked our arms and went to line up with the other champions. The doors opened and we walked in with everyone, as we walked in I felt all eyes on us and I smiled at Ced as we passed. Lilian locked eyes with me and gave me a thumbs up, her arms interlocked with Danny, her date. As we passed Angelina and Fred Angie smiled at me while Fred looked emotionless, I hate his poker face. I couldn't read his face, but I do know that it wasn't a possitive feeling. I brushed it aside, this is my night to enjoy, I'm gonna enjoy it with my date Cedric Diggory.
