My apparition retest was a few days ago. And I don't know why I was so nervous for it. Fred told me that he failed it three times before he passed, so I must've done better than he did, which made me laugh.

We were hanging out in his room when Molly came into the room.

"Winnifred!!!" She said in singsong. "Look what came in!"

She was holding a letter that I could only assume was the results of the test. I slid more under the covers to hide my face. Fred fought against this and pulled me up, taking the note out of Molly's hand.

"Why don't you wnana know how you did?"

"Because it's frightening, and if I don't open it I'll never know, and I'll be at peace with myself." I said.

"No you won't!" Molly said.

I groaned, taking the letter out of Fred's hand.

"Dear Ms. Winnifred Benson, it is with great joy that we inform you that you have passed your Apparition test with a 98/100-"

Fred cut me off but engulfing me in a hug, "That's my girl!"

"I knew you could do it, and with a score like that, I would be elated if you were one of my own."

"Hey!" Fred said.

"Oh shush, you failed so many times."

"This is a good excuse to celebrate!"

"Freddie!" I yelled, as he picked me up in his arms, twirling me around. "My birthday isn't until next week!"

"This protest has no effect on me, a chance to celebrate my intelligent girlfriend is a good enough reason to celebrate!"

I struggled in his arms, trying to hide my smile. Molly watched us with joyful eyes, and she walked to the door.

"Winnie you'll be spending your birthday with us this year?" She asked.

"Yeah mum isn't back from Scotland till another week or so."

Fred set me down, putting his hands in his pockets.

"Well shame on that woman, I swear if she wasn't my friend I wouldn't like the woman." She picked up a shirt on Fred's floor and started folded it.

Fred coughed, "Mum..."

She looked up and smiled, "alright, I'll see you guys downstairs for dinner." She walked out and Fred looked down at me. I laughed, going back to his bed.

Today was my birthday. And I wasn't excited. My family and friends are always excited for their birthdays, but I'm not. And every year I'm asked why. Well it's a constant reminder that no one cares, and that no one will ever care. I go out of my way for other peoples birthdays, giving them gifts and shower them with affection and love. But no one will do that for me. My mum and dad are never around, so I usually end up making my own cake and eating it by myself. But I go out of my way to make sure my brother has an amazing birthday. Today was just another day.

It was just part of my own tradition I make every year. Enjoy a single slice of cake while reading Chapter 15 of Perks Of Being A Wallflower, under the light of a single candle. I got up and put on something semi-fancy, and sighed, looking at myself in the mirror. I didn't know where Fred was, he left the bed early this morning. I threw my hair in a braid, and walked out of the room.

I took a look around the hallway, and saw absolutely nothing, it was like the Borrow was quieter than it had ever been. I looked over a corner and saw all the doors closed, even Ron's, who doesn't even bother to do anything like that. I walked down the stairs and even the room was completely dark. I peeked through the stairs and the lights flashed on.
