15. Affect.

I'm in a swing today with Brian while eating popsicle sticks. He's been courting me for more than a month now and I saw his efforts. Parang bumalik lang tratuhan namin kagaya noon.

The only difference now is that may kasamang landi.

"Brian." I called.

"Hmm?"

"Did you know that my friends thought that you're my boyfriend?" I asked. Lumingon siya sa akin at ngumiti.

"Well, you guys love chismis." Aniya.

Natawa ako saglit. "What about we make their thoughts real now?" I asked while intently looking his clueless reaction.

He was just staring with a smile. "About the—" He halted when he realized what I meant. Nanlaki ang mga mata niya.

Lumawak ang aking ngiti. I stood in front of him and gave him a sweet kiss on the cheek. "Yes. I want to be your girlfriend now."

His lips parted at bumagsak ang hawak niyang popsicle stick. Parang tumigil ang paligid habang nakatitig kami sa mata ng isa't isa.

Bakit mo ba patatagalin kung nakikita mo namang compatible kayo sa isa't isa? Also, gusto ko ng karapatan. I want to have the right to be jealous. I want to have the right na ipagdamot siya. 

Nang makabawi siya ay kaagad siyang tumayo saka ako niyakap ng mahigpit. I could also feel him shaking.

"I love you, Nahtalliey. . . Since then until now." He said sincerely.

Kumalas ako sa yakap pero nasa likuran ko pa din ang kanyang kamay. Ngumiti ako ng matamis. "Really? Then can you tell to the world that you love me?" 

Sinuklian niya ang ngiti ko at nilagay ang tikas ng aking buhok sa likod ng tainga ko bago niya nilapit ang kanyang mukha sa aking tainga.

 
"I love you, Jhane Nahtalliey. Now until forever." He whispered to my ears.

Lumayo ako nang konti. "I told you to tell the world then why did you whispered it to me?" 

He cupped my face and caressed my face. I closed my eyes as he kissed my forehead.

"Because you are my world, love. . ." 

Lumawak ang ngiti ko.

My days with him were pure bliss. Kahit busy kami sa school we still meet whenever we can. Nagpupunta siya sa condo ko minsan ako naman ang pumupunta sa condo niya.

Like now, I'm just waiting for him to come home because he told me so. I roamed my eyes in his place still amazes on how spacious it is. His walls were white, couches were grey with small navy blue pillows.

His shelves were also grey and navy blue. His condo just looks so comfy and neat.

My face lit up when I heard the doorbell. I was confused dahil alam naman ni Brian ang password niya bakit kailangang ako pa ang magbukas?

But I got surprised when it wasn't Brian I opened the door for.

It was Lilah!

"What the hell are you doing here?!" She gasped dramatically and held her mouth. Napansin kong may dala siyang lunchbox sa kabilang kamay.
