AFTER miles had left, diana continued to talk about the test she had failed while me and tyler tried to help her understand what she got wrong. we talked for a little while before i checked the time and realized how late it was.

i told the both of them that we should all probably head home as i gathered all of our trash and threw it in the bin. they both agreed and tyler offered to give us both a ride, to which diana accepted, but i chose not to. "i'll just walk home, my house is literally like a block away it's fine." i assured as i grabbed my bag and made sure i had everything.

they tried to insist but i just told them again that my house was close and that i would be fine walking home. diana sighed before hugging me tightly, which i returned, as we both said goodbye to eachother. i side hugged tyler while telling him goodbye then telling them both to get home safely.

"we should be the ones making sure you get home safely, your walking." diana mumbled as she crossed her arms and furrowed her brows at me. i rolled my eyes and assured them that i would be fine while we walked towards the door. i waved goodbye as they made their way to the parking lot and i walked the other direction towards my apartment.

i was walking down the dimly lit sidewalk before i made it to the brighter area with all of the bill-boards and advertisements. as i walked over to the light post, i pressed the button to try and change the light faster. i leaned on the pole and took out my phone to pass the time as this street was pretty busy at night.

the rest of the walk home was a straight shot so i played so music in my headphones as i walked home. when i made it to the apartment i unlocked the first door, then went up to my apartment and walked in. i checked the living room and saw my dad asleep on the couch watching tv. i sighed before i headed into my bedroom and got out my clothes. i changed into a pair of sweat-shorts and a large t-shirt. i turned on my led lights as i sat at my vanity and started on my skin care.

after i out on my toner, when i was about to put on my moisturizer, i heard a frantic tapping at my window. i quickly turned my head to face my window and see what the tapping was and was met with miles with his mask and suit still on. i furrowed my eyebrows confused as i got up from my chair before i heard miles tap the window again and speak with his voice slightly deeper, yet sad. "ma, open the window. please.." he said quietly. i quickly nodded as i speed walked over to the window and slowly opened it, careful not to wake my dad up.

as miles climbed through and gently landed on my floor i could feel the light breeze and rain drizzle as i shut my window. i looked back and miles still hadn't made eye contact with me as his head faced the ground. i could see the small red splatters all over his suit as he played with the hem of it.

"miles what's going on, are you okay?" i said, lifting my hand to rest on his shoulder and examining to make sure the blood wasn't his before he quickly turned his body and my hand fell of. he was now facing towards me and staring into my eyes with his own. i could see the tears gathering at the bottom of his eyes, which now seemed darker, as well as his more accentuated eye bags under them.

"y/n.." he started, breaking our eye contact as he looked to the ceiling. "i messed up." he said as he turned to started pacing slowly around my room. i furrowed my brows as i walked closer to miles. "what do you mean?" i asked as he sighed and stopped walking. i could tell he was trying not te let his feelings out and was obviously trying to figure out how to show me how he was feeling in the moment.

i grabbed his hand and led him to my bed. i sat up against the head board as he sat infront of me on the edge of my bed.i rested my hand on his shoulder and waited for him to speak up. he stayed silent for a while before speaking up with one sentence.
" i didn't want to kill him." he mumbled as he put his hands in his pockets.
