"ACTION!"

Natalie sat across the table from Samantha.

The raven haired had her hands in her lap and stared at them.

Samantha was looking carefully at Natalie with her hands folded on the table.

"Natalie...sigh the papers."

Natalie looked up and shook her head. "You're giving up on us."

Samantha tightened her jaw. "I gave up on us the minute you said I should've let you die. And you gave up on us at that moment too...." Her eyes fluttered closed for a second before opening them "maybe even before that."

Natalie shook her head and sat up straighter, picking up the pen and staring at the document.

"You want to give up on the 6 years we spent together?"

Samantha sighed. "I've...I've made peace with the decision. I'm....I don't think I could ever look at you again and not think about what you said."

She closed her eyes and a tear squeezed out of one of her eyes.

"I...."

Natalie looked up with her eyes brimming with tears.

Samantha sniffled. "I love you....I love you so much Natalie. It hurts so much when you're in pain. And I had to watch you suffer for a year until you were on the verge of actually killing yourself."

Natalie closed her eyes, letting the fresh tears fall down her face.

Samantha shook her head. "I know...I know it was...heartbreaking....Natalie."

The raven haired opened her eyes.

Samantha swallowed and their broken gazes net across the table....in the quiet kitchen....with the clock ticking in the background.

"I couldn't forgive someone who wished death over staying and working out things with someone they loved."

Natalie covered her mouth over her hand and sobbed.

Samantha stood up. "Until this m-moment Natalie!"

Natalie's head shot up and looked at her wife, catching onto the broken note in her voice.

Samantha sobbed out, "Until this moment, I waited for you to deny it! Say it was a mistake! Say you were caught up in emotions!"

Natalie closed her eyes and to try to not stare at Samantha's heartbreaking expression.

"You said nothing," she ended quietly. "You meant it and....and it broke something inside me. Something I never knew could break because of you."

Natalie opened her eyes and wiped the tears.

There was only the sound of both of them breathing and the feeling of rawness settling in the room.

Natalie stared at Samantha's signature on the paper.

She picked up the pen.

She clicked it.

Samantha closed her eyes and looked away, completely defeated....

As Natalie signed the divorce papers,

Ending their marriage.

"CUT! EXCELLENT WORK LADIES AND—Jennie?"

Jennie was sobbing with her hand covering her mouth and people started to rush to her but I stood up and stride over, pulling her into a bone-crushing hug.

She turned in my arms and sobbed into my neck.

"I'm...I'm okay...just...just got caught up in—"

I kissed her forehead. "You don't have to explain anything."
