Meeting the fosters

The weekend
Jay pov
Today was the day we were going to San Diego to meet the foster family. It was a 4 hr flight and we were due to be at the airport in a couple hours
Jay: Jaylen time to get up
Will: you want me to go get him
Jay: sure
After about 10 minutes Jaylen zombie walked downstairs
Jay: morning kid
Jaylen: morning
Jay: you packed a bag?
Jaylen: oh that's what I was supposed to do
Jay: yep
Jaylen: what do I need?
Jay: pyjamas, change of clothes, socks, underwear
Jaylen: i erm i
I looked over and he was dazed zoning out.
Jaylen: J-Jay h'pen
Jay: hey it's okay I'm just gonna lay you on the floor. I know it's scary but you'll feel better after
I went over to him and laid him on his side with a cushion under his head.
Jay: you're okay kiddo. I'm right here
Within a few minutes he started seizing. His arms and legs were jerking uncontrollably and his eyes were rolling. His head was smacking off the cushion and his breathing sounded struggled. At 2 minutes the seizure began to slow to slight twitches before stopping completely. After about 20 minutes he began to come around. He started looking around confused.
Jay: hey kiddo
He looked around again, eyes not focusing properly. He slowly sat up and seemed very agitated.
Jay: kiddo it's Jay
I knelt in front of him and he couldn't recognise me. He seemed scared.
Jaylen: No no
Jay: It's me JayJay
As soon as I said this he seemed to realise where he was
Jaylen: J-Jay
Jay: hey kiddo
Jaylen: h-hurt
Jay: I know
Jaylen: I sleep
Jay: go on then
I carried him to the car and laid him across the backseats. I went back into the house and packed a bag. I packed my clothes and then Jaylens. I made sure to also pack his toothbrush, toothpaste and meds. I picked up our passports and tickets and made my way to the car. Jaylen was still asleep. I rang kelly while on my way to the firehouse.
Kelly: Jay
Jay: I'm on my way now
Kelly: okay I'm just gonna speak to Boden
Jay: cool
I pulled up to the firehouse and Kelly made his way to the car. He put his bag in the boot and jumped in the passenger seat.
Kelly: he out already?
Jay: seizure
Kelly: oh
Jay: you wanna get breakfast?
Kelly: sure
We pulled up to McDonald's drive thru
Jay: kelly can you wake him up?
Kelly woke him up and I ordered our breakfast. 3 big breakfast with hotcakes. It consists of hotcakes, biscuit, sausage, hash brown and scrambled eggs
Jay: I got you some food kid
We started eating and I gave Jaylen his meds.
Jaylen: I can't eat anymore
Jay: how much have you had?
Kaylen: just some egg and sausage
Jay: that's okay. Keep it for the journey
We was half way through the journey and Jaylen had fallen asleep again.
Kelly: how does he feel about this?
Jay: he's scared about liking it there.
Kelly: that's understandable. How do you feel about it?
Jay: I'm not sure. He's like my little brother. Now he's moving 4hrs away. I've spent all this time looking out for him and now he'll be gone. It's gonna be really weird without him.
Kelly: I know
We arrived at the airport and I carried Jaylen in while Kelly got us checked in. We boarded our flight. I was next to Jaylen and Kelly was opposite us. Jaylen was still asleep and was leant on my shoulder. Within an hour me and Kelly fell asleep.

3 hours later
Our flight finally landed and I woke us all up.
Jay: come on let's go
Jaylen: carry me?
Jay: nope walk
Jaylen: I'm tired and everything hurts
Kelly: hop on kid
Kelly knelt down so Jaylen could jump on his back.
Jaylen: Kelly's now my favourite
Jay: ah I'm so offended
Jaylen: as you should be
I went and got the bags and we made our way outside to get in the Uber. We drove to the hotel and got settled in. Kelly went to get us lunch so I went to check on Jaylen
Jay: Jaylen you okay?
He was just sat on the bed zoned out
Jay: hey trouble. Jaylen?
Jaylen: hmm
Jay: you okay?
Jaylen: I'm fine
Jay: Kelly's gone to get lunch and then we'll make our way to the house
Jaylen: okay

After 10 minutes Kelly walked in with lunch.
Kelly: I have chicken wings
Jaylen: hell yeah
He jumped up and ran over to kelly taking the bag off of him
Jay: slow down
Jaylen: sorry
We ate lunch and kelly gave me my meds. We chilled out for a bit.
Jay: right we should get going
It was now 5:30 pm and we were due to be at the fosters for dinner.
Kelly: Jaylen come on we need to get going
Jaylen: five minutes I'm getting ready
