Jaylen pov
I woke up and made myself some breakfast
Jay: you could've woken me up you know?
Jaylen: I can make my own breakfast you know
Jay: No one said you couldn't
Jaylen: Jay you don't understand
Jay: then tell me
Jaylen: you'll never understand. You'll never understand what it's like
Jay: just calm down
Jaylen: I am calm!
Jay: what you raising your voice for?
Jaylen: you're pissing me off
I stood up
Jay: you not gonna eat your breakfast?
Jaylen: I'm not hungry
Jay: you need to have breakfast. You'll trigger a seizure
Jaylen: fuck off jay seriously

I went upstairs and slammed my door shut. There was a knock on my door
Kelly: Jaylen
Kaylen: go away
Kelly just walked in
Kelly: what was that with Jay?
Jaylen: he was just going on and on. He's doing my head in
We just sat in silence
Jaylen: I hate that I have epilepsy. Everyone is always babying me. You all act like I can't do things for myself. I'm 12 years old. I think I can make my own breakfast. I think I can take showers by myself without having you both checking up on me 24/7
Kelly: we don't mean to baby you. We're just scared for you. We just want to make sure you're safe.
Jaylen: I know but I need to start doing things for myself
Kelly: how about we back off a little bit? I'll talk to Jay and we'll try and give you that little bit of independence
Jaylen: really?
Kelly: yeah
Jaylen: thank you
I went and gave him a hug
Kelly: why don't you get dressed and we'll have a walk around the area?
Jaylen: just us two?
Kelly: sure. Get ready whilst I go and talk to Jay.
Kelly left and I wore black cargos an off white tshirt and hoodie. I wore my Jordan 4 black cats.
Kelly: you ready?
Jaylen: yeah just give me a second
I picked up my phone and AirPods. I also brought a fidget toy with me. It was a stretchy noodle thing. It helps me sort of stim without looking weird. It helps me not feel as anxious when stimming in public
Kelly: Jaylen come on
I was sitting on top of the stairs listening to their conversation
Kelly: you need to hear him out. What he is feeling is completely valid
Jay: I know it's just he's like my little brother and I wanna protect him
Kelly: i know. It will all be okay. I love you
Jay: I love you too
When I heard this I ran downstairs and rugby tackled them
Jaylen: I fucking knew it
They both started laughing
Kelly: I guess we can't keep anything from you
Jaylen: it was kinda obvious. Jay flirting all the time
Jay: No I wasn't
Jaylen: I knew you were gay when you turned down Erin. Like how you turning her down. She's hot
Kelly: Jaylen
Jaylen: what it's true
Jay: what do we always say to you? I know your dad taught you this
Jaylen: speak about women respectively
Kelly: remember that
Jaylen: sorry
Kelly: me and Jay were talking and we're gonna help you become more independent okay
Jay: I didn't mean to baby you. I just want to protect you
Jaylen: im sorry for snapping at you earlier
Jay: it's okay I understand. you need to take your meds
jay gave them to me and i took it

Jaylen: do you wanna go on a walk with us?
Jay: nah it's okay. I've got loads of calls to make
Jaylen: oh okay
Me and kelly left and we were walking around. I started running around. I ran into the road and kelly had to quickly pull me back
Jaylen: im sorry
Kelly: you just have to be careful. That could've ended so badly. You need to watch where you're going. I know it's hard for you with not understanding the dangers in things but this is something we need to work on okay
Jaylen: okay
I went back to running around. I climbed a tree and kelly took me to the shops
Kelly: grab anything you want
Jaylen: anything?
Kelly: within reason
I walked around and grabbed a Gatorade and some Pringles
Kelly: come on then
Jaylen: I pay myself
Kelly: you sure?
Jaylen: mhm
Kelly gave me the money and I queued up. Kelly waited on the other side. The intercom started going off and it was very overwhelming. I stood playing with the stretchy noodle thing. I looked over at kelly and he mouthed to me
Kelly: you okay?
I just nodded
Cashier: you ready?
Jaylen: y-yeah
I put my stuff on the counter
Cashier: is that everything?
Jaylen: erm yeah thanks
Cashier: that's gonna be $4.56
I gave her 5 bucks and she gave me the change
Cashier: you did well
Jaylen: Th-thank you
I got my stuff and went to kelly.
Jaylen: I-I did it. Did all by myself
Kelly: proud of you kiddo
Jaylen: can we go back?
Kelly: you don't want to go to the cages?
Jaylen: No I just wanna go back
Kelly: that took a lot out of you huh?
Jaylen: yeah
Kelly: come on then trouble let's go
Jaylen: when are we going home?
Kelly: we're flying out tonight
Jaylen: when do you think I'll be leaving?
Kelly: honestly I have no idea. I guess we're waiting for Bill
Jaylen: okay
We got in the car and kelly started driving home
Kelly: I'm proud of you you know
Jaylen: for what?
Kelly: proving me wrong. I didn't think you'd be able to do it yourself. I genuinely thought your anxiety will get the better of you. Im proud of you for using your fidget toy in public. If it was last year, you would have rather struggle than use it.
Jaylen: I guess
Kelly: it's a big achievement you should be proud of yourself
I just nodded
We arrived at the hotel and Jay was doing some paperwork
Jay: how was it?
Kelly: really good. Jaylen paid by himself and used his fidget in public
Jay: that's amazing
Jaylen: it's not that big of a deal
Jay: compare yourself to last year. You would have rather have a meltdown than use the fidget
Kelly: see
Jay: I've packed all your stuff so there's nothing for you guys to do
Jaylen: thanks. can we have movie night?
kelly: anything in mind
Jaylen: paranormal activity
kelly: is it on netflix?
Jaylen: i think so
i put the film on and jay got the popcorn
jay: salted for you. mix for kelly and toffee for me
jay also gave me my meds and i took them.
jaylen: what time are we leaving?
jay: we can leave after the film
jaylen: okay
we started watching the film and i fell asleep shortly after

kelly pov
Kelly: is everything packed?
jay: yeah. i've already put everything in the car
Kelly: are the place gonna collect the car?
jay: yeah from the airport.
kelly: how long we got?
jay: about an hour and a half till we have to leave.
kelly: can you pass over the bowl of popcorn?
jay passed it to me and his hands were shaking badly
kelly: doll are you okay?
jay: yeah i'm fine
kelly: your hands are shaking like crazy
jay: i'm fine i'm just gonna go toilet. i'll be back
jay left and he was gone for a while
kelly: you okay?
no answer
i walked into the hallway and jay was on the floor shaking
kelly: oh my god. jay what's going on?
jay: l-low
i ran and got his phone, apple juice and some of his glucose tablets. i ran back
kelly: why didn't you tell me?
jay: mumbling
i put the straw to his mouth and he started drinking. i took his phone and read his sugar levels.
kelly: you're really low baby
jay: mmm
after a few minutes he wasn't getting any better. i gave him 5 glucose tablets. within about 10 minutes he started looking better. i checked his levels again and it was starting to rise.
kelly: you're okay. your levels are rising
after about 20 minutes he was feeling much better
jay: thank you. how did you know?
kelly: will
jay: that son of a bitch
kelly: it's only because he knew you wouldn't have told anyone. Does anyone at the district know?
Jay: no
kelly: you need to tell them jay
jay: no i've gone this long with no one knowing
kelly: when did you get diagnosed?
jay: when i was 13
kelly: Jay seriously
Jay: i'm sorry
kelly: we should get ready. you okay?
jay: yeah i'm fine
kelly: come on then.

A couple of hours later we were on the flight and heading home
