EuGH I've been having a hard time coming up with ideas so take this oneshot as a little apology

I hate myself for writing this because I adore koyuki but it's the only actual idea I have for now 😭

A couple of months had passed since Koyuki's death, she got into a terrible car accident and sadly died a few days later in the hospital. Even though it has been quite some time Akaza was still traumatized, seeing his girlfriend of six years die in her hospital bed had stayed inside his brain. He hadn't gotten much sleep, usually when he did he would get reminded of her, he neglected his health by not eating, not cleaning up his house, and isolating himself.

The funeral that was held for her was absolute hell, he had to force himself not to cry like a baby. He missed her so much, and he was supposed to propose to her. He blamed no one but himself.

He'd lay in bed everyday, holding onto the pillow that she used to sleep on, pretending that it was her. He knew it probably wasn't the healthiest way to cope, but what else was he supposed to do?

His bestfriend, Douma, always tried to talk to him but he just ignored him half the time, the other half was him just saying that he was fine and he doesn't need him to come over to his house and check up on him. As much as he wanted someone to talk to he just couldn't help but feel like a burden to his friend, Douma has done so much for him, kept him company, he attended the funeral and sat beside him, telling him everything would be okay. In highschool Douma was the one to set Koyuki and him up.

Akaza believed it would probably be best if he just had some space, even though he neglected all of his needs. He hadn't gone outside unless he actually needed to get groceries, and he made sure not to have any unwanted encounters with his friends.

A knock on the door was heard, but he ignored it. Then came another knock, harder than the first, he groaned and got up, tripping over some of the dirty piles of clothes. He opened the door and saw Douma. He had almost forgotten what he even looked like, and seeing his face almost made him smile.

"Can I come in?" Douma asked, holding a pink box that contained donuts, Akaza took a moment to think before nodding his head yes.

Douma looked around, seeing the mess in the house, "Geez it's messy, how long have you gone without cleaning this place?" Douma asked, setting the box down on the crowded counter. Akaza just shrugged, not even remembering how long it had been since he last cleaned his home. "Alright well I brought some donuts for you, just have a seat and eat while I help you tidy this place up."

Akaza was dragged to the table, Douma opened the fridge and looked for the milk, he grabbed the carton and washed a glass to pour the drink in. Taking the box of donuts and glass of milk to his friend who sat down patiently.

While Akaza ate and relaxed Douma was cleaning, and he did a pretty damn good job, he washed to dishes, made the bed, organized his cabinets, put all the food in the right places. He swept the floor, did his laundry, and also fixed his stuffed clothes in his drawers.

When he finished cleaning the house he came back to check up on his friend, "You know, I'm really sorry about Koyuki, just think of it this way, she's probably watching over you right now." Douma said, smiling and putting a strand of hair behind Akaza's ear. "You're right, she's probably yelling at me for being so messy.." Akaza joked, even though he had tried to fake a smile for his dear friend, but it was just too hard knowing that his girlfriend was never going to come back.

"I'm glad you're okay." Douma replied, patting his friend's head. "I don't know how I could ever repay you for all the kindness you've shown me, you just cleaned my place like it was nothing, and you brought me food, listened to my problems for years, and yet you've never left my side. You're the best.." Akaza said, getting up and hugging Douma tightly, crying on his shoulder.

"There's really no need to thank me, I just want to make sure you're doing okay, that's what friends are for." Douma said, patting his friend's back comfortingly, he couldn't stand seeing his friend so emotional. Akaza quickly stopped crying, still he clung onto Douma, trying to calm himself down. "You're going to be alright." Douma comforted.

"Thank you..Hey do you think that you could stay the night?" Akaza asked, looking up at his friend, Douma nodded and smiled, hugging Akaza again.

"I'll get my stuff from my car." Douma said, getting Akaza off of him.

When Douma walked back in they went to Akaza's room, Douma insisted that he'd sleep on the floor since he knew that if he did he'd be sleeping on Koyuki's side.

"Goodnight, if you get uncomfortable please just get on the bed, I don't mind at all." Akaza said, letting out a tired yawn. "Alright, goodnight, Akaza." Douma said, kissing Akaza's forehead before laying back down on the hard floor.

And after that Akaza stayed up all night thinking about the kiss. 😝
