I turn towards Okkotsu. His eyes are wide open and his body trembles. I hurriedly look towards the wall of the Domain. As expected, there are a few scenes projected on the surface. There are fewer than those of the Spirit though. The eyeballs gather around Okkotsu, and although the lights haven't appeared yet, I know if I'm not careful Okkotsu could die.

"No..." He mumbles, his pupils shaking at the trauma shown. I follow his gaze onto a particular scene.

Okkotsu and another girl are walking down a street at night. The girl has long, brown hair and is wearing a blue dress. They stop in front of the crosswalk where many others are waiting, and cars zoom past them with raging speed. The red traffic light blinks and turns green, illuminating the light onto the white and black road.

The girl is the first to start walking again. But not for long. An earsplitting screech is followed by a crashing sound and ends with screaming that seems endless. Screams of terror. Screams of horror. Screams for help.

The girl lies on the ground. Blood pours out of her body, soon forming a pool of red. Her finger twitches, then her arm. More blood flows out, and it trickles its way toward Okkotsu. Many people hurriedly leave the horrible sight.

He stares with wide, frightened eyes, taking small steps backward. I get a little closer to Okkotsu, constantly trying to take my Domain down. Why isn't it working?

"F*ck off," I warn the eyeballs as they come too close to Okkotsu. They don't back off, but they do stop moving.

"R- Rika...!" Okkotsu stutters. His lips tremble. White arms reach out from the blood and grab onto his legs. That was Rika?

Meanwhile, I'm still trying to take down my Domain Expansion. Shouldn't it have already gone down as soon as the Spirit has been killed?

"Rika..." Okkotsu (the real one) whispers, sounding scared.

Suddenly, Itami comes back from wherever he was, making me flinch in surprise.

"So he's the new victim of your Domain, huh?" He asks mockingly, "Thought you had to protect him? What happened to that?"

"Shut up," I snap at him. Itami simply gives me a smile.

"Okkotsu," I call him as Itami's words sink into me.

When I don't hear a response, I just continue talking, "You okay?" Again, he's too focused on his portrayed past to hear me. With a small sigh, I walk over to him and tap on his shoulders. I wince a bit as I feel the thorns in my arms in the strained muscle.

Okkotsu flinches, and turns around, the katana in his hand. With a swift move, he slashes down, fear in his movement. Instinctively, I duck to dodge the sudden attack. With a smooth swing, his sharp blade comes dangerously close to my neck, which I barely manage to avoid. Luckily (or not), I only get a long slash on my neck. It's not deep enough that I won't die of blood loss, but also not as shallow for there to be just a minor cut.

Blood leaks out of the new wound, which I hurriedly cover with my hand.

"H- Haneki! I'm so sorry...! Are, are you okay?!" He stammers, instantly dropping his katana and hurrying over to me. I notice that the scenes on the walls have disappeared.

"Yeah," I answer casually, "What about you? You all right?" The regeneration should begin soon anyways. For a few seconds, I just stand there, waiting for it to happen. But even after the wait, the wound is still there. Finally, as expected, the familiar tingly feeling comes to life again, and I feel the skin closing up as no more blood is felt on my neck. Using the sleeves of my clothes, I wipe some of the thick liquid away. I also try to clean my face, blinking my eyes free of blood. The blue material turns a deep shade of red.

"Huh," I mutter. Why was the regeneration so slow this time? Is it because Okkotsu's Cursed Energy was in his attack?

"Wait- what just- huh?" Okkotsu looks confused. He stares at my neck curiously.

Sighing, I answer, "It's 'cause of that fuc- I mean, him," I give a short sideways glance at Itami, who floats next to me.

"Oh," He says, nodding, "Are you okay, though?" I nod.

"And sorry about that," I say, tilting my head in the direction of the wall, where the scene of Okkotsu and Rika is now gone. Okkotsu just looks down.

Suddenly, before any of us can say anything, the surrounding around us melt away, revealing the outside world.
